Asit was previously announced, a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of first four barges for “NIBULON” should have taken place on May the 22nd . But the event was postponed in order to meet the requests of the officials of the region, who expressed a wish to visit the mentioned ceremony.
The celebration doesn’t disturbed planed work-flow. General director of “NIBULON”, the Hero of Ukraine O.O. Vadaturskyy together with his deputies A.O. Vadaturskyy and A. O. Volyk, and the heads of the departments V. A. Kozakevych and D. V. Vazanov had a great opportunity to make sure of it. At the beginning general director of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, the Hero of Ukraine M.P. Romanchuk personally showed guests the plant’s museum of shipbuilding, and further on each shop superintendent showed his segment of work, executed for “NIBULON”.
So, it can be confidently stated that works are done according to the plan agreement day and night despite all obstacles. To date we received almost 100% of ordered metal and the metal cutting process is coming to the end. The first embedded sections of four vessels, the paint-and-lacquer materials are delivered in full volume – the shipbuilding process is executed according to the established schedule and totally supervised at all stages.
We’d like to remind that in accordance with the contract the transferring of the vessels is going to be accomplished in four stages: the first and the second vessels are going to be transferred to “NIBULON” up to 15th of August 2009, while the third and fourth are going to be transferred up to 31st of August 2009. The following group of four is going to be transferred up to 13th of October 2009, another group of four is going to be transferred up to 30th of November 2009, and the last four vessels are going to be transferred up to 26th of January 2010.
2009 is going to become a year of realization of the most significant investment project of “NIBULON”. One point of realization of this project is a construction of 24 barges of mixed (river-sea) navigation with deadweight of 108 000 tons. As we informed earlier, on March the 6th, 2009 “NIBULON” and OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” signed 16 contracts for construction of barges. On 28th of  April cutting process for the first four barges started in metal-processing workshops of the “Wadan Yards Okean” plant.
