The Bessarabska – is the youngest branch of NIBULON, which carries out on the river Danube, celebrates its first export million. The branch, whose capacity is expected to be amounted 300 thousand tons per month, is called on the market nothing but a symbol of courage, because it ensures the possibility of NIBULON's constant export during the war in the conditions of unstable operation of the grain corridor. It should be noted that the branch serves the interests of a wide range of small and medium agricultural producers. The purchasing activity of NIBULON for benefit of Izmail covers Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions and, of course, the south of Ukraine. Now Bessarabska branch shows a gradual increase of indicators. From January to May 2022 the increase of export by 44% from 100 thousand tons to about 190 thousand tons per month was successful. The branch plans to make 200 thousand tons already in June. The growth of export becomes possible thanks to regular investments, which should reach up to $50 mln and be aimed both at the formation of significant storage capacities of the branch, and at the processing of grains into the flour for further export of the value-added products. It is crucial for Danube region, where the containers for storage and stockpiling are absent, what significantly complicates unloading. After implementation of the investment project, the branch will be able to ship up to 60 wagons of grain per day.In order to continue development of the Bessarabska branch infrastructure, now it is extremely important to receive a positive decision of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council on the Implementation of the Implementation of the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context In Ukraine. We hope, that the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine in the nearest future will consider the issue of the Bessarabska branch as an object, which has been assessed transboundary environmental impact successfully to the procedure that also applies to Romania. We sincerely thank our Ukrainian and international partners for their help in construction of transshipment terminal in Izmail: the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for a grant within the AGRI-Ukraine initiative; to the Romanian side for support within the Paths of Solidarity; To the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov, his deputy Yurii Vaskov and the entire team of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure. We express our deep gratitude to them and sincerely hope for further effective cooperation!
