Feeding the world together: The story of cooperation between Urozhai from Sumy region and NIBULON during the war

In recent years, Ukraine’s agricultural sector has faced significant challenges that have impacted the profitability of farming businesses. The war, climate change, and logistical difficulties have introduced new obstacles for farmers. NIBULON sees its role not only in supporting farmers but also in creating conditions for their growth through digitalization and efficient access to global markets.

One of the brightest examples of successful partnership is the collaboration between NIBULON and the farming business Urozhai.

Urozhai: From 48 to 10,000 Hectares

The farming business Urozhai was founded in 1996 by Mykhailo Ivanovych Shevchenko. Starting with 48 hectares of land and working exclusively with family labor, the farm gradually expanded. Thanks to strategic decisions and successful partnerships, today Urozhai cultivates over 10,000 hectares of land and provides jobs for nearly 300 people.

Urozhai has always been market-oriented and responded promptly to challenges. Initially, the main crop was sugar beets, but gradually the assortment expanded to include corn and cereal crops, contributing to increased profitability.

The partnership between Urozhai and NIBULON began in 2011 when the first batch of corn was sent to the elevator in Romodan. Since then, the collaboration has only strengthened. In 2022, the farm sold products worth 58 million UAH to NIBULON, in 2023, 59 million UAH, and in 2024, 120 million UAH. In total, from 2015 to 2024, Urozhai sold more than 282,594 tons of grain to NIBULON. This not only demonstrates the stability of the partnership but also the effectiveness of their joint decisions.

Since August 1, 2023, NIBULON has implemented an electronic document management system, significantly simplifying the operations of farming businesses. “Everything is done quickly and accurately. What is appealing about NIBULON is the honest work; everything is transparent,” says Mykhailo Ivanovych.

Thanks to the electronic cabinet, suppliers gained quick access to information about contracts, payments, and the status of obligations. This helped reduce document processing time, minimized the risk of errors, and optimized financial flows.

Perspectives: Digital Solutions as a Key to Success

NIBULON not only ensures effective logistics but also helps Ukrainian farmers achieve maximum profit through modern technologies. Digitalization not only increases the efficiency of business processes but also strengthens trust between partners.

Mykhailo Ivanovych emphasizes, “Progress is moving forward, and we need to keep up with it. NIBULON provides tools that allow us to optimize our operations and earn more profit.”

In the face of economic challenges, NIBULON continues to be a reliable partner for farmers, developing digital services and adapting to the new realities of the market. Digitalization is not just a trend, but a necessity that helps farmers remain competitive, even in the most difficult times.
