On the one hand, the ambitious goals and tasks that NIBULON’s employees face in the workplace create opportunities for the development within the company. On the other hand, they require an increase in the level of knowledge, skills, and competencies. These issues are addressed by the personnel assessment and training department, whose task is to build a strong team capable of making decisions under pressure and adapting to the challenges of today.
We present the key results of the department tasked with the professional and personal development of NIBULON’s employees.
In 2023, we revised our approach to the training process. We resumed and updated the courses on soft and hard skills, as well as vocational training, aligning them with the company’s business objectives. The number of training events, involving both internal and external trainers, increased. For comparison, while 1,089 NIBULON’s employees underwent training in 2023, the number reached 2,558 in just the first six months of 2024.
The changes affected not only the quantity but also the quality of training. NIBULON pays considerable attention to updating the professional knowledge of its employees at all levels, shifting the focus from the training and development of narrowly specialized employees to cross-knowledge and mastering related professions. Employees from production branches, elevators, laboratories, specialists from all departments, middle managers, and top managers are all involved in training. While professional (hard skills) and vocational training is focused on specific professions, such as grain processing operators, riggers, forklift drivers, financiers, lawyers, and others, soft and hard skills training is available to all employees.
To support the training and development of our personnel, we have cooperated with Lean Institute Ukraine, USAID, and Kyiv-Mohyla Business School. They have unique long-term expertise in teaching, offer a modern approach to training, and are result-oriented.
In 2023, NIBULON invested about UAH 3 million in training and professional development programs. In 2024, we will double these investments to guarantee NIBULON’s employees have up-to-date knowledge and skills, thereby guaranteeing their long-term competitiveness in the labor market.
Yana Romanenko, HR Director of NIBULON, says:
“The transformations in the company’s management model and the implementation of innovative projects that have been ongoing at NIBULON since 2022 also require personnel reorganization, the expansion of employees’ responsibilities, and the enhancement of qualifications, as well as the improvement of professional knowledge. To this end, we have completely changed our approach to training, developed a detailed plan and event calendar that cover the maximum number of employees, provide a wide range of relevant knowledge, and involve experienced trainers, with whom we grow and improve step by step. We already have positive results and dynamics within the team. And there is more to come!”
