Fall 2008 was a starting point for a project on concluding contracts of tenancy with Mutynskaya and Kamenskaya village councils of Krolevetskiy district of Sumy region.  Initially contracts were concluded for 2 % of rent from the total cost of the ground shares. Given the average for this region share of 1 hectare, eventually a decision was made to raise the rent costs up to 3 %. Rented 1100 hectares of land were not tilled for 7-8 years. Land, untouched, uncultivated became overgrown with grass and small trees. In order to receive some crop, we had not only to cultivate these fields, but also to invest a considerable amount of money to bring this ground to an appropriate preplanting state. But in NIBULON we don’t mind hardships here, and get busy altogether. Works on cultivation of these fields were held nonstop by efforts of the men of Lugansk region up from the April of this year. The fields were in an awful state, that is why beardless plowing with heavy machines “Fregat” and cultivation with heavy cultivator “Smaragd” were required twice on preparatory phase. Then herbicide application and secondary cultivation followed. And only after all these fundamental measures preplanting cultivation was held and winter crops were planted. 569 hectares of winter wheat and 223 hectares of winter triticale are already sown. We are planning to sow corn and spring barley in spring. Simultaneously with contracts of land tenancy, social contracts between NIBULON Ltd and Mutynskaya and Kamenskaya village councils were signed. This is a common practice for NIBULON Ltd, such contracts concern beneficial aid NIBULON Ltd provides for settlement of social items. For instance, 16 000 UAH are laid out for public lightning adjustment for Mutynskaya village council and as for Kamenskaya village council, NIBULON Ltd sponsored the restoration of a memorial to soldiers of WW II and also the purchase of new musical facility for local cultural center. Traditionally NIBULON Ltd gives pupils of Mutynskaya and Kamenskaya schools for New Year Holidays presents, veterans of war receive presents for Victory Day. Schools also received new sets of balls for the beginning of the new school year. First-formers were given children’s books on regional geography “My Favorite Mykolaiv City”. A new branch “Pryseymivska” was created in village Mutyn this fall. It means new workplaces, possibility for people to work on their own land.                              A.
