NIBULON and Safe Pro Group Inc. have signed a memorandum of cooperation to implement a number of initiatives that are strategically important for the development of mine action in Ukraine. Among them is the development and improvement of non-technical survey (NTS) methodologies, which will enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of identifying hazardous areas.
Another important aspect will be the exchange of knowledge and educational resources, which will contribute to the professional development of specialists in both organizations. This will allow the NIBULON to expand its capabilities in mine action and accelerate the process of agricultural lands.
The partners also intend to launch a series of coordinated media campaigns to raise public awareness about the landmine problem. These campaigns will showcase the impact of technology and help gain broader support from international partners in humanitarian demining.
One of the key technologies to be integrated into the company’s operations will be Spotlight AI, an artificial intelligence-based solution for detecting landmines and explosive devices developed by Safe Pro Group Inc.
The application of AI in aerial imagery analysis enables quicker and more affordable evaluation of pollution extent and the identification of priority areas for demining. This approach not only increases operator safety but also reduces demining costs, which is crucial given the extensive landmine and explosives contamination in Ukraine.
“This partnership is an important step towards creating an effective demining system that combines advanced technologies and international experience. The implementation of innovations will allow us to make the demining process more accessible, quicker, and safer.” – Mykhailo Rizak, Director of Government Relations of NIBULON.
“Our agreement with NIBULON is critical to our mission to support global food security and the safety of those denied their land and livelihood as we seek to urgently restore Ukraine’s agricultural productivity. Our proprietary AI technologies and algorithms continue to demonstrate how new tools can safely accelerate the demining survey process, a critical first step in land clearance and release operations globally,” said Dan Erdberg, Chairman and CEO of Safe Pro Group Inc.
Similar to its approach in grain export, the NIBULON maintains the principle of developing efficient work models with the lowest costs in demining, while maintaining high quality and safety throughout the process.
Through its partnership with Safe Pro Group Inc., the company aims to expand its demining efforts to help Ukrainian farmers return to cultivating fertile lands more rapidly. This will contribute to the restoration of Ukraine’s agricultural sector and help ensure food security both within the country and internationally.
