The large-scale modernization planned by the elevator department in 2023 has reached the implementation stage. The changes will affect the entire network in terms of automation, unification of services and mechanisms to ensure quality standards. Additionally, the capacities of Khmilnyk branch, AK Vradiivskyi Ltd., Kolosivskyi elevator, and the Transshipment Terminal will be significantly expanded.
At Khmilnyk branch (Vinnytsia region), where total investments will amount to $3.9 million, the construction of the second stage of the elevator is planned, introducing new transport equipment and building four operational silos.
The subject of pride is the installation of 2 powerful STRAHL grain dryers, which will increase the drying capacity up to 2,200 tons per day (from scratch) and initiate cooperation with agricultural producers. Previously, this branch solely serviced the needs of NIBULON’s own agricultural production.
Investments in the first stage of modernization of AK Vradiivskyi Ltd. (Mykolaiv region) will amount to $800,000. The capacity will be doubled, and the receipts and shipments scheme will be changed to work with several crops simultaneously, reducing waiting times for both our agricultural producers and partners.
Kolosivskyi elevator (Mykolaiv region) will also get its second wind with $265,000 allocated for the reconstruction of the first stage. The focus is on doubling the productivity of grain receipts and shipments.
The company will invest $720,000 in its Transshipment Terminal in Mykolaiv to construct a new gallery, which will enable receipts of cargoes from water transport and their transshipment onto rail transport with subsequent delivery to Bessarabska branch. In the face of the blockade of the Mykolaiv port hub, this will reduce logistics costs on the way to Izmail ports.
“The elevator sector is the heart of agribusiness, and the fate of the grain heading for export depends on its proper operation,” comments Valeriy Reutsoi, NIBULON’s Director for Elevators Operations. “Only honest and transparent partnerships produce results: volumes are growing. We need to invest in modernization, progress, and raise the level of services so that all processes run smoothly, optimally in terms of time and effort.”
The department plans to automate all elevators, to equip them with sensors that will record the operating resource of the equipment and automatically transmit this data to a unified dispatch center.
As a result, we expect to increase the efficiency of the elevator department through optimization and automation, reduce the cost of services due to rational use of resources, and increase salaries for teams.
More details on the planned changes will be provided in our next releases. Don’t miss out!
