Тhis will bring NIBULON’s demining expertise to the level of specialized organizations with years of experience such as the HALO trust and FSD.

The company is already actively participating in UNDP, UNOPS, and PROZORRO tenders. It will sign contracts for demining in the near future. The certification for the full cycle of land demining, namely detonation, disposal and transportation of explosive ordnance, will enable NIBULON to handle the entire range of issues related to the clearance of territories independently, without involving state services.

“We are trying to free up state resources to address other pressing issues and to help farmers and communities return agricultural land to circulation faster. Additionally, we have initiated the issue of forming lots for demining regardless of the farmer’s application. With 100% compensation for demining, lots for demining tenders can be combined into single arrays, thus reducing logistical and other organizational costs for the operations. Together, the new certification and new approaches to lot formation will help reduce costs and implement the Ministry of Economy’s strategy for 100% NTS on the controlled territories of Ukraine in the next 3 years,” comments Mykhailo Rizak, NIBULON’s Director of Government Relations.

This year, the company managed to achieve 100% compensation for demining agricultural land through a constructive dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities, the EBRD and IFC. For Ukraine, this important decision has opened up new horizons for reaching a qualitatively new approach to demining.
