Last week, the NIBULON team participated in the EuroGrainExchange in Bucharest, one of Eastern Europe’s key agricultural and trading platforms.
Our goal was not only to showcase NIBULON’s export potential and logistics services but also to build a new coalition of trust between Ukrainian and European partners. NIBULON’s entry into the Middle and Upper Danube market creates opportunities for Ukrainian producers to broaden their export horizons and for European partners to access global markets, high-quality logistics, and cargo solutions.
According to Serhii Kalkutin, Director of Logistics at NIBULON, the freight transport market on the Middle and Upper Danube is highly competitive. Nevertheless, NIBULON’s strengths – a modern, multifunctional fleet and fully digitalized cargo services – enable the company to feel confident in the well-established European market.
“Currently, we operate 9 of our tugboats and 11 barges on the Danube, capable of transporting around 50,000-60,000 tons of cargo to Constanța each month. This allows us to create various types of barge-tug convoys and delivery combinations along these routes. There is a demand for the transportation of grain cargo, fertilizers, metallurgical products, and more,” notes Serhii.
NIBULON’s expansion is crucial not only for our company but also for the entire Ukrainian agricultural sector, which requires stable and diverse logistics solutions. We are convinced that the Danube must remain a viable alternative to deep-sea ports for Ukrainian exports. NIBULON is prepared to be the driving force behind this process.
