NIBULON’s ESG Strategy. Social Pillar.

Responding to social challenges, NIBULON is deepening its engagement with local communities and implementing socially significant initiatives.

In our first Sustainability Report prepared in line with the GRI standards, we documented the key social criteria we have consistently worked on for many years and will continue to prioritize through 2030.

Youth Engagement Projects in the Agricultural Sector

We are committed to responsibly preparing the next generation of professionals in Ukraine’s agricultural sector. To this end, we develop dual education programs in collaboration with specialized higher education institutions and offer internship programs, excursions, and guest lectures delivered by our experts to students.

Employee Professional Development Projects

We place special emphasis on the professional and career development of our employees. In 2024, the number of employees involved in training and assessment increased more than fourfold – from 1,089 to 4,567 employees. The number of training events, especially those focused on soft skills development, grew significantly. We also introduced two assessment projects and launched the Talent Pool program. In 2024, we doubled our investments in training and will continue to accelerate the pace of upskilling and reskilling, ensuring sustainable professional growth and income stability for our employees.

Employee Well-Being and Health Initiatives

Caring for every member of our team, we conduct a wide range of activities aimed at supporting mental and physical health, promoting cultural engagement, volunteering, and social connections to support our employees’ desire to do good.

As of today, NIBULON’s employee well-being program includes the following initiatives: medical insurance, employee vaccination program, corporate discounts on laboratory testing for employees and their families, psychological support and consultations with professional psychologists, corporate yoga and Zumba classes, corporate cultural and sports events (football competitions, races, bookcrossing, excursions, etc.), educational well-being seminars, support for Ukrainian traditions, and participation in volunteer projects (support for children and animals, blood donation, sports, environmental initiatives).

A key component of our corporate culture is improving the work environment and ensuring safe working conditions, achieving a zero-injury rate across all our facilities in 2024. We have installed a new model of shelters – mobile bomb shelters – at NIBULON’s branches located close to the combat zone. Our Kyiv office has been relocated to a more modern and comfortable space equipped with its shelter. We have upgraded our production equipment—from the fleet of vehicles and agricultural machinery to computer equipment for both branches and offices.

Supporting Veterans and Defenders of Ukraine

In 2024, NIBULON launched a project aimed at reintegrating veterans into civilian life following their military service. To this end, we initiated an important partnership with Veteran Hub, a support network for soldiers and their families. We employ not only veterans who were mobilized from our facilities to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine but also, through a “green corridor” system, we welcome all citizens returning from military service.

Our goal is to strengthen the professional skills of HR specialists and line managers involved in recruitment and onboarding, to improve mutual understanding between the NIBULON team and veterans, ensuring a smooth, comfortable transition of military personnel into civilian life and the working environment of our company.

To draw attention to the needs of veterans returning to civilian life and to better understand their experiences, we launched the “Heroes Among Us” series, where we share stories of NIBULON employees – heroes who now live and work among us.

Gender Equality Initiatives

One of the priorities of our social responsibility efforts is ensuring gender balance and providing equal opportunities for all employees. In response to current realities and challenges, we are transforming our corporate culture. We understand the vital role women play in society, the economy, and our company. We actively involve them in traditionally “male-dominated” professions, offering opportunities for retraining. Their experiences are shared through the “Women in Male-Dominated Professions” series.

Humanitarian Demining of Ukrainian Land and Waterways

We were the first company in Ukraine to obtain certification and invest in automated demining systems. To date, we have cleared over 5,000 hectares of agricultural land and nearly 1,000 hectares of private plots belonging to residents of southern Ukrainian communities. In 2024, we also developed a solution for demining waterways and continue to actively pursue this effort.

Community and Regional Support Program “NIBULON. Ukrainian. Native.”

Committed to the well-being of communities in the 11 regions where we operate, we have developed and begun implementing a comprehensive community and regional support program – “NIBULON. Ukrainian. Native.” – which will run through 2030. The program includes initiatives aimed at strengthening local governance capacity, launching educational programs in sustainable development, and supporting cultural projects.

Being a socially responsible company means caring for important social initiatives and taking an active civic stance, which is a driving force for every NIBULON employee.
