Last weekend, the heads of NIBULON’s agricultural and elevator divisions gathered in Myhiia, Mykolaiv region, to navigate the Southern Buh River.
It may seem that river rafting is simple. You just get in a boat, catch a wave, and let the water carry you. However, this impression is deceptive. The NIBULON team realized this from the very first seconds of their rafting adventure.
One of the main rules of rafting (besides safety rules, of course) is to be attentive, focused, and work in a well-coordinated and synchronized team. An unwritten rule is to trust your boatmates. Only then can you complete the journey and reach the destination. Overall, it mirrors our lives and work. When moving towards a new goal, it is important not only to be persistent and hardworking but also to be able to rely on your friends and colleagues and be ready to assist them in a tough time. NIBULON’s employees possess these qualities in abundance.
While navigating one of Ukraine’s largest rivers and overcoming its rapids, the NIBULON team experienced a wide spectrum of emotions – from the adrenaline rush of taming the swift current to the tranquility of observing the breathtaking beauty of the granite rocks of Buh Gard National Nature Park, its main attraction – the Skarzhynskyi Watermill, and Radon Lake. And, of course, they felt the unity, support, and the power of a team spirit!
Yevhen Zadniprianyi, the Cherkasy production cluster director, said:
“This was my first rafting experience. It was very unusual, exciting, emotional, and fun! Photos and videos do not fully capture the atmosphere of teamwork and unity. We do not often meet with colleagues in person; we usually communicate by phone. Therefore, such moments spent together are especially valuable. We get to know each other better, establish communication so that in the future our work becomes more productive.”
Oleksandr Babych, the Kremenchutska elevator group director, noted:
“I really enjoy such activities. I often go kayaking with my friends. It was my first time in Myhiia, and rafting here is different. Of course, the atmosphere with colleagues is also different. It is not just about fun and entertainment but also about team building and unity. Overall, I have very positive emotions and impressions! We are looking forward to our next rafting trips!”
Volodymyr Levandovskyi, the Mykolaiv production cluster director, shared:
“Working in agriculture is a constant change of seasons. One crop follows another, the harvesting campaign follows the sowing. It is difficult to find time for rest and informal communication with colleagues. But it is necessary to take a break from the daily routine and recharge. It was very interesting, fun, energetic! It awakened a spirit of competition, a healthy sports rivalry, a desire to get ahead, and simply to feel the lightness and realize that there is life beyond the working days. After this, there is a surge of inspiration and a desire to achieve new, higher results in work.”
