The first 10 wagons have already been delivered, loaded with grain and being prepared for further transportation of agricultural products through the Izmail to countries suffering from hunger, to overcome the food crisis in the world. “In the conditions, when russia blocks the sea routes for the export of agricultural products from Ukraine, and the 12 river ports of NIBULON, located on the Southern Buh and the Dnieper, are blocked, we must do everything possible to save jobs at the river ports, which are left without water and cut off from logistics. For this, it is necessary to deliver the grain from the river ports to the nearest railway station and from there to the wagons for further export through the ports of the Odesa region. Thanks to the USAID Project “Economic support of Ukraine”, within the framework of which new modern wagons were purchased, this became possible. We look forward to further support of donors by providing wagons for each blocked port. Before the blockade more than 15 mln tons of cargo per year were transported through the Dnieper and Southern Buh, of which more than 4 mln tons – grains. Now it is extremely important to restore the transportation of these volumes of Ukrainian agricultural products”, – noted Mykhailo Rizak, Director on Government Relations and Sustainability of NIBULON. We express our gratitude to Ukrzaliznytsia for the facilitating the transfer of Ukrainian grain to world markets. Your help makes it possible for the new grain wagons to move quickly and smoothly to their destination! Assistance to agricultural producers and infrastructure companies is part of the Agricultural Sustainability Initiative in Ukraine, implemented by the United States Agency for International Development. It is aimed at helping Ukraine increase its potential for grain production, storage, transportation and export.
