Currently, the company uses hybrid routes that combine transportation by trucks and transloading by rail with subsequent transferring to water transport in Izmail. The USAID project “Economic support of Ukraine” purchased modern scales for weighing rail and road transport of NIBULON. They will be used at four elevators of the company – in the Mykolaiv, Poltava and Cherkasy regions. “Providing NIBULON's elevators with modern weighing equipment will speed up the weighing of road and rail transport, will provide automation, and restore capacities previously disconnected for the Izmail investment project. Thanks to this, we expect to restore the capacities of the supply chains and speed up the operations of receiving and shipping grain products. Additional weight complexes will increase turnover in conditions of increased load on land transport,” – said Mykhailo Rizak, Director on Government Relations and Sustainability of NIBULON. This assistance to agricultural exporters is part of the Agricultural Sustainability Initiative in Ukraine, implemented by the United States Agency for International Development. It is aimed at helping Ukraine increase its potential for grain production, storage, transportation and export.
