Improvement of organization of sea and river transport protection is of current importance nowadays. One of the stages of this process is introduction of the International Code of Vessels and Port Crafts protection (IC VPCP). Each port is to be certified on compliance with the security requirements of IC VHCP. With the purpose of consideration of compliance with the requirements of the International Code of VPCP on DBSTP Port Crafts, organization of cooperation with appropriate subdivisions of State frontier and customs services, UMHA and SSU took place the meeting of Committee of port security. “NIBULON Ltd.” Transhipment Terminal and the NAF Building were considered as the best port constructions in zone of Dnepro-Bugskiy Sea Trade Port responsibility. “NIBULON Ltd.” Transhipment Terminal port construction received the Act of compliance with the International standards for the term of 5 years. For reference. The International Code of Vessels and Port Crafts protection (Code of VPCP) is a code of laws and legal documents for prevention of terrorist acts, which threaten to safety of passengers and crews, as well as vessels. The aims of the present Code are: – creation of international structure, which uses collaboration between Contracting governments, government institutions, local administrations, as well as representatives of maritime industry and ports for threat detection/evaluation deals with protection and taking measures in prevention of incidents related to protection of vessels and port crafts used in international shipping; – determination of appropriate functions and duties of all interested parties on national and international level for protection provision at the sea; – supporting of anticipatory and effective collection of information concerning protection and exchange of such an information; – arrangement of methodology of protection estimate execution for the purpose of putting into operation of plans and procedures of reaction at changes of protection levels; – as well as support of confidence in availability of sufficient and commensurate protection measures at the sea.
