The head of project management at the shipyard Sergiy Naimushyn hosted the students and arranged an excursion for them. He showed them all key production areas of the shipyard, told about shipbuilding orders (tugs of the POSS-115 and POSS-121 projects, non-self-propelled vessels of the B2000 project, NIBULONIVETS floating crane), and about company’s plans for the future. Thus, the students got to know the vessel construction and its technological peculiarities as it is very important for future shipbuilders.
During the excursion the third-year students not only listened to Sergiy Naimushyn carefully but also asked him questions. In his turn, Sergiy Naimushyn asked them questions checking their knowledge. At the end of the excursion he gave a few tips to young generation what to pay their attention to in their training to become qualified shipbuilders. Moreover, the Head of project management at the shipyard noted that he hopes the excursion’s participants being qualified specialists after graduation will become employees of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard and his dignified substitute.
The students were satisfied with the excursion. They were impressed by high-tech equipment of the facility, sizes of non-self-propelled vessels of the B2000 project intended for operation along the Southern Bug River, which are being constructed by the shipyard’s employees.
“It makes us happy that NIBULON started developing shipbuilding in Mykolayiv. We hope that in a few years we will become a part of this successful shipyard”, noted the third-year students.
After the excursion the students expressed their gratitude to the company for an opportunity to visit NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard regularly. Practice and not only theory is a guarantee of their successful professional fulfillment. NIBULON’s shipbuilders assist their future colleagues with pleasure.
