NIBULON has Won the National Maritime Rating of Ukraine under the “Fleet Renewal” and “New Terminal” Categories

NIBULON and its General Director, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, have won the National Maritime Rating for many years, setting a high bar for the company and participants. NIBULON’s General Director has won the “Person of the Year on Water Transport” award three times for his significant achievements. The company has won awards in various categories, in particular “Growth rate”, “Absolute growth”, “Golden berth”, “Fleet renewal”, and others. This year, 70 experts in the marine and economic sector, after evaluating the achievements of more than 200 companies, have acknowledged NIBULON as the winner of the “Fleet renewal” and “New terminal” categories. NIBULON is one of the leaders in the shipbuilding sector of Ukraine. The company has the most modern and high-capacity fleet which comprises 82 vessels used for various operations. Due to its patriotism, constant and large-scale investment projects, the company annually increases its fleet, develops its activities and improves national logistics. The company is engaged in reviving navigable water ways, building hydraulic and engineering structures, as well as developing grain and non-grain cargo transportation by river, transporting metal, building materials (sand, piles, etc.), coal and large-sized cargoes for both itself and other companies. In 2020, NIBULON built and launched seven high-capacity vessels. These are self-propelled and non-self-propelled vessels used for various operations. The 3 non-self-propelled B1500 project open type vessels have a cargo deck of 835 square meters and a capacity of 1,500 tons. They are used to transport general and bulk cargoes in the sea and Ukrainian inland waterways. The 2 T410 project harbor pusher tugs are used for pushing non-self-propelled vessels with a deadweight of up to 3 thousand tons, forming barge convoys, carrying out mooring operations as well as cargo trips in shallow waters, servicing non-self-propelled machinery and other floating equipment. The modernized 121M project tug is used for mixed (sea-river) navigation and can operate practically in any conditions, in particular in shallow water, ice, and with various barge convoys. The tug is also equipped with a reduced movable wheelhouse ensuring quick and efficient passage without needingto raise bridges. The non-self-propelled NBL-91 project vessel is a multipurpose 90-m vessel. The vessel is used to transport general and bulk cargoes by inland waterways in Ukraine throughout the entire year. The vessels operate efficiently, and the shipping company annually sets new records for transporting cargoes by Ukrainian rivers. In 2020, the shipping company transported 4.14 million tons of various cargoes. Since it commenced operation, the company’s fleet has redirected more than 22 million tons of cargoes from road to water. The putting into operation of the Zelenodolska transshipment terminal for grain and oilseeds shipment in Marianske village (Apostolove district, Dnipropetrovsk region)was also acknowledged by the experts as another achievement of 2020 in the river transport development. Thus, NIBULON is an absolute leader under the “New terminal” category this year. Zelenodolska branch is NIBULON’s first facility in this region, built according to schedule whilst meeting all the quarantine requirements. The terminal can store 76 thousand tons of grain simultaneously. Due to its operation, the company continues to develop navigation along the Dnipro, removing annually the equivalent of 12.5 thousand trucks from interregional and intraregional roads in Ukraine. This is just the beginning for the company. NIBULON has many ideas to develop navigation and shipbuilding sector in the country. Follow our news and achievements.
