It is hard to overestimate the role of this high-capacity vessel in the history of the company’s export activity. NIBULON became the owner of the most efficient floating vessel in the country at that time. St. Mykolai is equipped with a Liebherr electrohydraulic grab crane with a nominal daily capacity of up to 20 thousand tons and a cargo capacity of 45 tons. Since it commenced operations, the floating crane has considerably increased exports in the outer roads without involving third parties in loading operations. In 2013/2014 MY, when St.Mykolai operated efficiently, the company increased its transshipment volumes by two and a half times. Today, the self-propelled crane vessel continues to operate efficiently, loading foreign-going vessels in the outer roads of Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port. Since the beginning of the new marketing year, the floating crane has already transshipped about 950 thousand tons of grain. At present, Ukraine’s most modern NIBULON’s fleet, comprising 85 vessels used for various operations (including four self-propelled and non-self-propelled floating cranes), enables the company to avoid using third parties’ services, and its efficient operations contribute to new achievements. Thus, the last three marketing years have been the best in the company’s export history. NIBULON exported 4.9 million tons in 2019/20 MY.Please note St.Mykolai was built at SNC shipyard (Constanta, Romania) to the company’s order. The vessel’s length is 52 m; its breadth is 23 m, and its maximum speed is 8 knots. The crane vessel is equipped with high-capacity electric engines, rudder propellers, diesel generators and other items produced by the world’s leading producers (Volvo Penta, АВВ, Schottel).NIBULON’s shipyard has built Nibulonivets and Nibulonivets-2 non-self-propelled floating cranes equipped with modern equipment and high-capacity Terex Fuchs MHL385D loading machines (Germany). The company’s fleet was increased considerably in 2019, when NIBULON’s shipyard built and put into operation the NIBULON MAX 140-m self-propelled river-sea floating crane, the longest one built since Ukraine's independence, thereby enabling the company to transship up to 6 million tons in the outer roads. Thus, the company does not stop at what has been accomplished and continues to increase export figures, demonstrating new achievements in the current marketing year.
