During its 29 years of activities, NIBULON has been successfully developing Ukraine’s economy, building new modern high-capacity transshipment terminals and elevator complexes in various regions of the country, reviving navigation and national shipbuilding. NIBULON has been solving urgent problems of the local communities in the areas where the company constructs its facilities, developing infrastructure, improving educational and medical services, contributing to the environment preservation, and others. In 2020, NIBULON constructed and put into operation its high-tech fully automated river transshipment terminal in Marianske village (Apostolove district, Dnipropetrovsk region). This is an important event both for the agrarian sector and Ukraine. The community has received a responsible investor. Before starting the construction, NIBULON signed a social partnership agreement worth UAH 11 million with Zelenodolska united territorial community in order to solve an urgent water supply issue in the village, which has prevented 3,600 villagers from living normal lives. “The matter is that the villagers from Marianske-1 village took water from a local pump-filter plant being in the breakdown condition. The water quality does not meet the state standard requirements. The villagers from Marianske-2 village used an asbestos-cement water pipeline built during the Soviet period, which was unhealthy. In addition to its dubious quality, the village could suffer water supply shortages at any time”, stated Yaroslav Stratutsa, the Zelenodolska branch director.Realizing the seriousness of this situation, the company started searching for solutions. The best variant was the construction of a new water pipeline from Grushivka village, Apostolove district. Thus, NIBULON started to develop a project and implement it without any hesitation. As a result, Marianske village has received a new long-lasting and environmentally friendly water pipeline of 7.4 km. Having conducted inspections and tests, the new water pipeline was officially put into operation in the presence of the local authorities. It will soon start operating, so people will receive drinking water. The company was not indifferent to the village’s urgent issues. Beyond the social partnership agreement, the company implemented a number of social projects being important for the community, such as:replacing a part of the old water supply system;repairing an access road, laying tiles at the roadside and at the memorial sign at the entrance to the village;illuminating the central street by installing 21 modern transmission towers and lamps, as well as mounting a power supply line.
