NIBULON has been implementing efficiently its large-scale investment program since 2009. As part of this program, the company revives the shipbuilding sector, develops navigation on the Ukrainian inland waterways as well as a network of transshipment terminals within Ukraine. Dnipropetrovsk region has now joined Ukrainian regions in which the company’s facilities are located. Putting this high-capacity facility into operation is an important event both for the agrarian sector and Ukraine. The agricultural producers have been waiting for this for 12 years. Having been inspired by their support, NIBULON, together with its experienced construction team, have built this completely automated agrarian facility to receive, store and to process agricultural commodities by meeting all the safety measures during these difficult times caused by coronavirus pandemic. NIBULON has created 1,500 working places for construction workers from 73 various companies within Ukraine, 7 of which are located in Dnipropetrovsk region. The company managed to overcome all the obstacles to receive equipment which was produced and delivered to Ukraine by world leading manufacturers from Italy, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, and other countries as quickly as reasonably possible. We did everything to continue constructing, and agricultural producers from Dnipropetrovsk region have already had a reliable and responsible partner before the beginning of the new agrarian season. In order to construct the high-capacity modern facility, NIBULON has performed an enormous amount of work. The specialists have driven 3,311 piles (with the length of about 56 km), concreted about 25 thousand square meters, mounted more than 5,000 tons of steel structures, installed more than 6.5 km of pipeline and sewage systems as well as more than 7.5 km of gas supply, automatic and alarm systems, and constructed a 150 m long cargo berth. The company has dredged more than 8 ha of water area and 14 km of the water access to the water area from the Dnipro navigable pass. The company will install navigation aids there in order to ensure safety. The construction of the river transshipment terminal in Marianske village was supported by NIBULON’s reliable first-class international financial partners, namely the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, and the International Finance Corporation. The total investment amount is more than USD 23 million. NIBULON’s branch will become the most modern technological facility in the region and create more than one hundred working places. It can store 76 thousand tons of agricultural commodities simultaneously, dry 3.6 thousand tons daily, and ship 12 thousand tons of grain by water transport. The facility can also receive 300 thousand tons of grain annually, thereby removing more than 12.5 thousand trucks from the highways. The company’s facility in Marianske village is socially important for the villagers. In addition to solving a number of important economic issues, the community has received a responsible investor as well. As part of the social partnership agreement, NIBULON allocated UAH 11 million to solve urgent water supply issues. The company has already replaced a part of the old service water supply system; it is developing a project to lay a new drinking water pipeline. NIBULON has also repaired an access road, laid tiles at the roadside and at the memorial sign at the entrance to the village. Beyond the social partnership agreement, NIBULON plans to illuminate the central street, arrange comfortable sidewalks from the entrance to the village to the local school, and to create a modern leisure center for the villagers, namely a park area with trees and bushes as well as all the required features and equipment for leisure activities. Agricultural producers will have access to the modern grain market infrastructure and will participate in the foreign economic activity. NIBULON’s partners will be able to develop their own farm business from the money saved on product transportation. They will sell grain at a fair market price and efficiently plan their activities, as the company’s experienced team as well as the modern transport and laboratory equipment at the transshipment terminal will ensure qualitative and quick operation without long queues. Zelenodolska branch operation will considerably facilitate the region’s logistics and improve the economy, ensuring stable tax receipts to the budgets at all levels and promoting the development of many other sectors. This additional facility will contribute to the revival of the Dnipro as a transport artery of Ukraine. All the grain received by NIBULON will be transported by water transport. Thus, the company will considerably reduce traffic load on highways, not only in the region but also in Ukraine.
