“Ukrzaliznytsia has enough railcars, and NIBULON’s position is unchangeable concerning this. There is no need to produce more railcars, as it is a dead end road. The private sector and the economy should not suffer the consequences of the Ukrzaliznytsia management’s incompetence in making decisions. It is fraudulent when the private sector needs to produce railcars in order to distract from the inefficient use of the existing railcar fleet. NIBULON’s railcar turnover is three days, while others use railcars 3-4 times less efficiently. The railcars must not be just considered as storage, but rather as an efficient vehicle to deliver goods”, states NIBULON’s General Director, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. “As we continue investing in different activities, in particular in constructing our fleet, transshipment terminals, etc., NIBULON used the railcars purchased in 2019 to free additional funds. Consequently, NIBULON signed a lease agreement with OTP Leasing Ltd in February 2020”, added NIBULON’s General Director. At present, the company has already transported more than 135 thousand tons of grain from its branches to the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv using its own railcars.
