We have informed you recently about progress of the reconstruction of our NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. But at the same time we continue constructing the modern Ukrainian cargo fleet. As of today, NIBULON’s shipbuilders are constructing five vessels at the same time. You can read about the progress of each vessel construction below.
The first POSS-115 project tug (order 10028)
In the engine room, main engines have been installed. The specialists are installing the vessel’s systems and power plant maintenance systems. The device to lift the pilot house has been tested. The shipbuilders will turn on electric power supply and will start mooring trials. Meanwhile, NIBULON’s shipbuilders have started performing panel plating in the living accommodation.
The second POSS-115 project tug (order 10029)
The vessel was launched two weeks ago for outfitting. The shipbuilders have installed rudder propellers. They are performing centring and assembly of main engines and shafting that is designed to transmit torque developed by the main engines to the propeller. In addition, the specialists are preparing a device to lift the pilot house for installation. The shipbuilders are installing cable, electric equipment, as well as mounting insulation in the superstructure.
The third and the fourth POSS-115 project tugs (orders 10030 and 10031)
The shipbuilders finish forming the strength hull of the third tug on the building berth. At the same time, the shipyard’s employees are preparing to install the first section of NIBULON-11 (the fourth tug).
The self-propelled P-140 project vessel (order 10032)
The metal processing and assembly and fabrication workshop continue working with metal, as well as producing sections for the future longest vessel (140-m) in the history of the shipyard. And in order to launch it, NIBULON continues reconstructing the slipway. At the same time, the shipbuilders are enlarging two units of bottom sections of the vessel’s starboard. The LPS180 with a lifting capacity of 42 tons from Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH (Germany), which is being mounted at the shipyard, will ensure transportation of the vessel’s units. We will write about this crane in our next news.
