As you know, NIBULON is seriously involved in optimizing logistics costs: transportation of grain and other agricultural products, various materials for agricultural production, oil products, etc.
Taking into account the fact that NIBULON has its branches in 12 regions of Ukraine, logistics optimization is of great importance. In particular, the company used about 20 million liters of oil products last year. In addition, NIBULON successfully implements its shipbuilding program increasing the number of fleet units and volumes of cargoes transported along the inland waterways of Ukraine. For timely filling of tugs and optimization of agricultural products and oil products preservation, the management of the company decided to construct three filling stations in three regions of Ukraine.
According to specialists, this will enable the company to reduce the prime cost of oil products delivery by 60 %, and the prime cost of grown products by about USD 1 per ton. In addition, the number of vehicles needed for transportation will be reduced by 30 %. By the way, the company itself directly imports fuel and lubricants paying the excise tax. Last year, the company paid UAH 72,650 million to the budget for import of diesel fuel. This is a step towards transparent operation of the company in the market of oil product supply.
NIBULON has constructed its filling station to meet its own needs in the territory of “Kremenchuts’ka” branch (Poltava region). The specialists are performing pre-commissioning, in particular run of oil products from a tank car into tanks and the system as a whole. Next week, after their successful completion, the company’s specialists plan to submit documents to the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate for a certificate allowing putting it into operation.
The filling station equipped with modern domestic devices and devices produced in the USA, Sweden, Poland, etc. consists of three tanks of 75 m3 (total volume of simultaneous storage will comprise 225 m3). The facility also has a railway unloading rack (the opportunity to unload two rail tank cars at once); a fuel dispenser for fueling road transport and a point for fueling tugs; a place to pour fuel into tank trucks.
NIBULON’s specialists also took care of the environment protection. In particular, modern environmentally friendly and flameproof technological equipment is installed at “Kremenchuts’ka” branch. Underground dual tanks equipped with pressure vacuum relief valves, which in turn are fitted with flame arresters, hard surface of the industrial site that does not create sparks, as well as tightness of connections and treatment of surface water are intended for environmental (atmospheric air, soil, surface and ground water) protection from possible negative consequences during operation of the filling station.
The company plans to construct two more similar stations in the territory of “Svativs’ka” branch (Luhansk region) and in Khmilnyk town (Vinnytsia region), where NIBULON has its production branch. When choosing location for filling stations, logistics and specifics of the company’s activities were taken into account. This will ensure the need of the regions for oil products and reduce transportation costs. By reducing the distance of fuel delivery, NIBULON will free vehicles that can provide other services.
By creating its own logistics system, NIBULON reduces dependence on external factors and reduces the level of risks in economic activity. Expansion of its own logistics system provided NIBULON with such competitive advantages as minimal cost of transportation, convenience, flexibility, maneuverability, efficiency and quality of cargo delivery. NIBULON already transports 2 million tons of grain per year along Ukrainian rivers. And in the coming years the volume of transportation by water will comprise from 4 to 6 million tons per year.
