Representatives of the US Department of Agriculture visit NIBULON’s facilities, as facilities of one of the industry leaders, every year. This year’s visit aimed to familiarize the representatives with the work of NIBULON’s transshipment terminal, an important element of grain logistics in Ukraine.
At the transshipment terminal, Ms. Kinsley met with Deputy General Director of Logistics Serhii Kalkutin and Director of NIBULON’s Shipping Company Oleksii Lalin. The specialist of the US Department of Agriculture familiarized herself with work of the transshipment terminal’s laboratory equipped with the best devices from world-renowned manufacturers, including devices produced in the USA.  Ms. Kinsley also familiarized herself with the terminal’s production facilities, in particular, the existing infrastructure, its development in recent years, cargo monitor and cargo processing process.
While familiarizing with grain infrastructure, it was impossible to omit the fleet – one of the most important components of NIBULON’s logistics system. Ms. Kinsley also was on board of the 121M project tug Anatolii Hankevych moored to the berth of the transshipment terminal. She inspected cabins, went down to the engine room, visited the pilot house.
After that, the delegation visited NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard, where in parallel with the construction of modern fleet in Ukraine a large-scale reconstruction of the facilities is being performed.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Shelby Kinsley shared her positive impressions of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
