Due to untypical weather conditions in March (frequent precipitation in the form of rain, snow, frost, ice-covered ground), the territory improvement is slightly delayed. However, it doesn’t affect the terms for the facility commissioning.
As for the cargo berth reconstruction, the specialists from Ukrdobrobud (Kyiv) finish producing a frame of formwork of the last 20-m section. By this time, a significant increase in water level was hindering this process.
As it has been repeatedly mentioned, each NIBULON’s new facility is built according to state-of-the-art technologies available in the world at the construction period and taking into account its previous experience. The leading specialists of the company constantly collect and systematize all data, offers, identify bottlenecks, analyse and select the most perspective engineering and technical solutions in terms of technology and construction of new facilities.
The complex for shipment of grain and oilseeds with a capacity of 43 thousand tons as part of the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv was not an exception. Thus, during its construction a number of technical innovations have been applied.
Due to additional bucket elevator and conveyor installed in the bucket elevator tower No. 8, grain receipt efficiency from rail transport has increased from 350 tons per hour up to 560 tons per hour.
The new headhouse of the complex is equipped with grain cleaning devices produced by Buhler GmbH (Switzerland) and Cimbria Unigrain A/S (Denmark) for preliminary and final cleaning with a capacity of 500 tons per hour. The capacity of the grain cleaning equipment of headhouses at other facilities is 250 tons per hour. In addition, the headhouse of the complex is equipped with three rotary distributors for 6 feeds produced by Plant of Elevator Equipment Ltd. (Odesa) with a swing pipe section of 500 mm, which enables us to quickly redirect the flows of grain with a capacity of 500 tons per hour directly from transport equipment (bucket elevators) without valves or diverter valves. These rotary distributors were designed by the producer to the order of the company’s specialists for the construction of the complex.
The technology of the elevator complex is designed in such a way that it is possible to receive two flows of grain (two different crops) simultaneously (with a capacity of 500 tons per hour each) from rail, road and river transport. In parallel with this, it is possible to ship grain from a spare silo with similar capacity (through hopper scales from Presia S.A., France).
Due to two lines of chain conveyors installed on the upper gallery, the silo loading speed will be 1,000 tons per hour. Prior to this, a maximal indicator (750 tons per hour) was at “Novoodes’ka” branch, “Voznesens’ka” branch, “Khortytsia” branch, “Kozats’ka” branch, and “Holoprystans’ka” branch.
The lower gallery is equipped with a belt conveyor produced by Cimbria Unigrain A/S (Denmark) which is almost 2 times longer, as against belt conveyors at other NIBULON’s terminals. It is 205 m.
It should be noted that all six silos of the complex as part of the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv are equipped with auger conveyors from French company DENIS, which makes it possible to automate the process of silo cleaning (without manual labour of the terminal’s employees). It doubles the speed of this operation.
We would remind you that the next step is the construction of two transshipment terminals on the Dnipro River in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, which are new challenges for the company to introduce the best achievements.
