Silos have been connected to upper and lower conveyors. Meanwhile, the specialists are installing screws intended for removal of a residual cone of grain in silos. The equipment will have been installed and pre-commissioning works will have been completed by the end of this week. The complex will be ready for grain receipt/shipment.
The cargo berth reconstruction will have been finished by March 20. The reconstruction has been suspended because of snowdrift and strong frost. Above all, the company appreciates safety of people and quality of the work performed. In connection with water level fluctuations and icing of metal, it is dangerous to produce a frame of formwork of the last 20-m section and it is not appropriate to concrete when the temperature is so low. However, the 10th section of the berth is almost completed. In particular, mooring bollards have been installed, manholes have been equipped. The specialists are installing fenders that prevent vessel’s sides from damaging and reduce the contact load on a vessel’s hull.
It should be noted that upon completion of the berth reconstruction, the length of waterside at the transshipment terminal will be extended. Consequently, speed of handling of vessels and efficiency of the fleet that was built at the company’s shipyard will be increased.
