NIBULON’s Management Met with the Long-term Strategic Partners in France

It was a high-level meeting with Credit Agricole S.A. as the financial institution was represented by top management at the negotiations, namely by Pierre Glauser, head of International Trade, Credit Agricole CIB, one of the bank’s top managers responsible for the agrarian sector worldwide, Guilhem Nouvel-Alaux, deputy head of International Retail Banking, and Laurent Bennet (Head of Agriculture, Agrifood and Business Service of Credit Agricole S.A.). It is a pleasure to note that the management of the representative office in Ukraine consisting of Jean-Paul Piotrowski, CEO, and Larysa Bondarieva, a board member, heads of corporate and small and medium business, representatives of Ukrainian companies (clients of Credit Agricole) also came to Paris.
Such collegial meetings are very effective. They enable us to significantly reduce the time for decision-making and to avoid excessive bureaucratic obstacles.
During a constructive dialogue, there were discussed the issues of current cooperation (Credit Agricole S.A. is a lender in the syndicated loan allocated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), and plans for future cooperation as well. In particular, new financial products were presented to us.
“We are grateful to this bank for a long-term partnership. In particular, we felt its support in 2014, when there were problems in the east of our country and the Western banks could not finance the Ukrainian agrarian sector for some period of time. However, in a very short time Credit Agricole decided to allocate a significant amount of funds to our company, thereby preventing prices for agricultural products in the domestic market of Ukraine from collapsing”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
It should be noted that Credit Agricole, one of the largest financial groups in the world, has been working with NIBULON since 2008.  The bank has considerable experience in financing the agrarian sector of France. It has some competitive advantages in the Ukrainian financial services market; it is a pioneer of new financial products introduction. In particular, it was one of the first banks to arrange financing of collateral grain purchase in Ukraine.
After the negotiations with the management of Credit Agricole in Paris, another meeting was held at the representative office in Geneva. We have discussed a plan for the Paris Agreements implementation in detail.
On the same day we had a business meeting with Cedric Viviant and Natacha Kovchova, leading specialists of the Trade Finance Department of Natixis.  Natixis is one of the largest banks in the world and a strategic partner of NIBULON for more than 11 years.
“We have so warm and trusting relations that this is more than just a partnership. This is an undoubted success for the benefit of the bank, NIBULON, and Ukraine as a whole. Even when in 2008 there was a global economic crisis, the bank continued to cooperate with our company without any hesitation. The fact that the bank in Ukraine cooperates only with two leading agricultural companies, including NIBULON, testifies to high confidence in our company”, said General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
We would remind you that NIBULON’s management had a number of meetings with the European Investment Bank (Luxembourg), with Arab Bank, ING, BIC-BRED, ВСР, BNP, UBS in Geneva (Switzerland), with Rabobank in Utrecht, and with FMO, ATB, ABN in the Hague (the Netherlands).
“Switzerland, one of the most comfortable countries in Europe to live in, surprised us with unusual scenery. All streets and pavements in Geneva were covered with snow and nobody cleared it. For a moment it seemed to me that we were in Mykolaiv. Having called my employees, I found out that they were overcoming the consequences of bad weather and were clearing snow from the streets in time. I asked what happened to Geneva and heard an unexpected answer. It turned out that the city administration hadn’t expected such bad weather in this period. It had previously made a decision and had sold all available snow-removal equipment. For this reason you can see only a small tractor and a person pouring salt from a trolley in the pictures we have taken”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
