The rails No. 9, 10 of the slipway have been constructed. The specialists covered the foundation (length – 56 m, width – 25 m, height – 2 m) for monolithic beams of lifting and launching rails. About 10 thousand tons of stone and crushed stone were brought to do these works. 9 units of reinforced concrete rail beams have been mounted.
The specialists have laid 6 kW cable from the transformer substation 1 to the slipway. All cables from the slipway to all winches in the amount of 9 units have been laid. 70 % of the mains have been connected inside the control room.
The builders finish constructing the building that will control the lifting and launching and slipway rails. It is constructed in the style of a real tug. We want our shipbuilders to enjoy not only their workplaces, but also the overall appearance of the shipyard and the working conditions in general. To date, the general construction works have been completed. Last week, the specialists installed the pilot house and metalware. The works on improvement (laying of road plates) at the foundations No. 8, 9 of the launching ways are completed by 50 %.
Lack of capacities to construct complete vessels of up to 140 m in Mykolaiv, the Ukrainian center of shipbuilding industry, prompted NIBULON to carry out the large-scale reconstruction of its shipbuilding and repair yard. This became a kind of challenge for NIBULON. Upon the slipway reconstruction completion, NIBULON’s shipbuilders will be able to build and launch 140-meter vessels without involving foreign and Ukrainian companies. It is the project length of the self-propelled P-140 project vessel with two cranes (cargo capacity – 10,000 tons, productivity – 18,000 tons/day). It is planned to launch the modern cargo vessel on July 1, 2019.
