Thus, the company has already performed 80 cargo trips and transported about 215 thousand tons of agricultural commodities from its own transshipment terminals located on the banks of the Dnipro River and the Southern Buh River; this contributed to the fact that 9 thousand trucks were removed from the highways.
The largest volume of grain among the branches located along the Dnipro River was shipped from the transshipment terminal of “Kremenchuts’ka” branch – 50 thousand tons; the youngest NIBULON’s branch – “Voznesens’ka” branch – is a leader in shipments among the branches located along the Southern Buh River (47 thousand tons).
We would remind you that NIBULON performed more than 150 cargo trips along the Southern Buh River in 2016, having transported 300 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds by its own cargo fleet and broke the record of the Soviet period by 6 times. Thus, NIBULON removed 12.5 thousand trucks from the roads of Mykolaiv region.
It should be noted that the shipping company took renewal of navigation seriously, as always. In particular, during the internavigational period, NIBULON’s shipping company conducted the following activities:
– a complex of alarm and training of the crew of NIBULON’s self-propelled vessels on a regular basis according to the schedule;
– inspection of the self-propelled vessels by NIBULON’s fire safety service for compliance with fire safety requirements ; fire safety certificates were issued for each vessel;
– inspection of the bottoms of the vessels by NIBULON’s diving station upon completion of the ice campaign in the Buh-Dnipro region from March 4, 2017;
– periodic inspections of the company’s self-propelled vessels by the service of rescue and fire-fighting equipment maintenance;
– internal audit of the self-propelled vessels by navigation safety service of NIBULON’s shipping company for compliance with safety management system;
– annual registration of the company’s self-propelled and non-self-propelled vessels by the Harbor Master’s Service, receipt of the vessel inspection certificate;
– inspection of the company’s self-propelled and non-self-propelled vessels by Administration of UkrTransBezpeka (the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety) in Mykolaiv region in accordance with the instructions for inspecting vessels navigating on the Ukrainian inland waterways and issuing of the vessel inspection certificate.
In addition, NIBULON’s shipping company also performed technical inspection and carried out repairs of the entire fleet, which numbers 57 units. The repairs were carried out at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard, which, incidentally, is undergoing reconstruction. Upon completion of the reconstruction, NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard will not only reach an independent cycle of metal processing (without third parties of the industry involved), but also significantly increase the volumes of its processing.
