On March 3, there was held another production meeting headed by NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, with participation of Deputy General Director of Construction Serhii Besedin, Hola Prystan mayor Oleksandr Babych, NIBULON’s specialists, and heads of the contracting organizations.
The builders are completing the preparatory works. Today they will proceed to the first stage of general construction works. Pile fields for foundations of most technological and auxiliary facilities of the terminal are already arranged. Construction of foundations has been started at some of them. In particular, the builders started constructing foundations of an administrative and laboratory building, a control room, a headhouse, grain storages, and toilet facilities. According to NIBULON’s General Director, the contractors have to construct foundations for a truck tipper by mid-April so that the ironworkers could mount metalware.
Temporary electrical networks are installed to ensure lighting of the construction site and power supply for the building organizations and mechanisms that are currently provided by their own diesel power plants. Due to lighting of the constructions site, the contractors can work round-the-clock. This will help some of them to make up for lags in construction or to do all the agreed work faster and proceed to new processes. According to NIBULON’s chief powerman Yurii Tiahunov, representatives of Khersonoblenergo PJSC have already conducted initial inspection of the temporary transformer substation of “Holoprystans’ka” branch. The mains will be connected to Khersonoblenergo power supply system upon signing the relevant documents.
As for the noise caused by the construction process, Hola Prystan mayor Oleksandr Babych said that while reporting to the community the month before he had apologized for these temporary inconveniences. The people bore with it as construction of such a facility is not only more than a hundred of workplaces, but also additional revenue to the local budget.
The contractors will start constructing special sites for road transport soon. As Oleksiy Vadatursskyy noted during the meeting, that was one of the primary tasks as when suppliers brought the equipment, we would need place for its storage.
At the end of the meeting heads of the contracting organizations asked Hola Prystan mayor for help to settle the people involved in constructing the transshipment terminal in a private sector. Oleksandr Babych promised to help in solving this issue.
Meanwhile, NIBULON’s department of capital construction continues holding open tenders for construction works in order to build the terminal. Representatives of different construction companies from different regions of Ukraine constantly come to the construction site.
