The history of NIBULON’s river navigation began in 2009, when we started creating our modern cargo fleet and reviving the Ukrainian navigable waterways.
In 2012, there appeared a new structural unit in the company – NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. NIBULON’s shipbuilders set their first record constructing the first order, having built a vessel in 35 weeks, while it took more than 70 weeks for the plant with many years’ history to construct a similar order.
Today NIBULON is the first Ukrainian agricultural company which is engaged in shipbuilding at its own shipbuilding and repair yard in Mykolaiv. The shipyard employed more than 600 shipbuilders, 9 000 employees are next in turn to get a job.
The number of staff of NIBULON’s shipping company has exceeded 350 employees. The most modern Ukrainian fleet numbers 55 units and it is the second largest one in Ukraine.
The annual volume of river cargo transportation by the company’s fleet comprises 2 million tons.
The jubilee 2016 was marked by several important events not only for the company but also for the entire Ukraine. Due to a number of activities: construction of the transshipment terminal and a series of non-self-propelled vessels designed for operation on the Southern Buh River and dredging performed (at its own expense and without the state support), we revived cargo transportation along this river for the first time in a quarter century.
This autumn residents of Ukraine received good news. Passenger vessels were added to NIBULON’s fleet, and the company plans to revive passenger transportation by rivers.
