The increase of agricultural production volumes by 10 % (as compared to 2015), which represented more than 340 thousand tons, became the main achievement of this season. This is the best result for all years of NIBULON’s activity. The years 2013 and 2014 were the most approximate to make comparison; we harvested 331.5 thousand tons and 332.5 thousand tons of grain respectively.
The production branches of the company owe their success, in particular, to weather conditions that contributed to agrarians in 2016 season. According to Deputy General Director of agricultural production Kostiantyn Khmelnytskyi, early spring vegetation, prolonged spring with low air temperatures, rain at the end of spring and in the first half of summer had a positive impact on results of early grain crops. In particular, the point is the increase of early grain crops yield which comprised 43.4 dt/ha.
The production branches of the company have harvested more than 123.8 thousand tons of early grain cropsand 216.6 thousand tons of late grain crops. NIBULON has received high yield despite the decrease in cultivation volumes by 2.5 thousand ha, as compared to the previous year when the company demonstrated its maximal result (134.2 thousand tons).
Kostiantyn Khmelnytskyi also told about this year’s changes in crop rotation structure of the company. In particular, increase of spring crops share by 8 % let the production branches of the company achieve high results this season:
─       36.9 thousand tons of sunflower – the best result in NIBULON’s history (crop yield – 22.9 dt/ha);
─       the third result of gross yield of corn in NIBULON’s history – about 142 thousand tons (even taking into account the decrease in areas sown for corn by 4 %);
─       increase of sowing areas for sorghum by 41 % resulted in increase of gross yield by 67 %;
─       efficient use of land resources this year – 80.6 thousand ha have been used to receive yield.
RE “Lidiievs’ke” branch (Mykolaiv region) (sunflower – 28.4 dt/ha), “Romanivs’ka” branch (Zhytomyr region) (corn – 86.7 dt.ha), “Kupians’ka” branch (Kharkiv region) (sorghum – 54.5 dt/ha) demonstrated the highest results of late crops.
The leaders of the rating on late grain crops production are the following: the leader of Southern Steppe – RE “Lidiievs’ke” branch (Mykolaiv region), Eastern Steppe – “Bilovods’ka” branch (Luhansk region), Center – “Chyhyryn” branch (Cherkasy region), and North – “Khmil’nyk” branch (Vinnytsia region).
This year was also successful for branches involved in livestock farming. “We have achieved positive result in 11 months. The profitability of production has increased by 14 %. “Khmil’nyk” branch (Vinnytsia region) and “Chudnivs’ka” branch (Zhytomyr region) have demonstrated the best results”, noted a head of the department of animal husbandry and selling of products of its processing Oleksandr Klochkov.
As of December, the total gross milk yield, as compared to 2015, has increased by 192 tons. As for reproduction of the herd, calf crop per 100 cows is by 10% higher, as compared to 2015. Index of production of meat processing workshop has improved by 14 % within 11 months, as compared to 2015. Volumes of sausage production as of December have increased by 25 %, as compared to 2015 and by 54 %, as compared to 2014. On the whole, these indices are the best in the history of its operation.
