NIBULON made such a present on the Day of workers of agriculture for NIBULON’s employees, their families and local residents who have come to Mykolaiv river station. Besides free trips along the Southern Buh River, there were other pleasant surprises for guests: tasty food, entertainment program with professional entertainers, keepsakes, opportunity to visit other vessels of the company’s cargo fleet, namely “Kremenchutskyi” tug that was built at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard last year and a non-self-propelled vessel.
More than 2,000 persons came to enjoy trips by legendary hydrofoils. The vessels had been leaving the berth of the river station at half-hour intervals since 10 a.m. They performed more than 20 trips in 2 days. 
We would remind you that “NIBULON Express” performed its first trip on Wednesday, November 16 with head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Oleksii Savchenko, Mykolaiv mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, head of Mykoliav Regional Council Viktoriia Moskalenko, Cherkasy mayor Anatolii Bondarenko, Voznesensk mayor Vitalii Lukov, Nova Odesa mayor Oleksandr Poliakov, and head of Nova Odesa District State Administration Yevhen Verbin on board.
“NIBULON Express” hydrofoils (called “rockets”) travel at 65 km per hour, have endurance of 500 km, work autonomously for up to 7 hours. It should be noted that there are few specialists able to operate such vessels in Ukraine, but they haven’t operated “rockets” for more than 20 years. Thus, on November 18, Dutch specialists came to Mykolaiv to provide training. They supervised work of Ukrainian colleagues during trips on November 19-20 and were alternate captains. Foreign professionals assessed work of our captains as perfectly done. The specialists from the Netherlands will stay in Mykolaiv till November 22nd to continue training and to nail down the experience.
The company plans to restore the infrastructure of the Southern Buh River and to start scheduled passenger transportation to Voznesensk (Mykolaiv region) by spring 2017. In summer NIBULON plans to add five more “rockets” to its fleet. This will enable one to provide routes between Kyiv and Kaniv, Cherkasy and Chyhyryn, between Mykolaiv and Ochakiv, Kherson, Zaliznyi Port, the Kinburn Spit, Voznesensk, Nova Odesa. 
Reviving the tradition of river transport in Ukraine, NIBULON has decided to revive another tradition – great family holidays. Thus, families, a few generation of Mykolaiv citizens – those who still remember scheduled passenger trips along the Southern Buh River and those for whom it was a childhood dream which has become true due to NIBULON – were coming to perform the first passenger trips by ¨NIBULON Express¨ vessels.

I remember the period when passenger vessels were operating along the Southern Buh River. I was six years old. We used to travel by hydrofoils to Kovalivka to have a rest. That was a nice period and it´s good that NIBILON revives passenger transportation¨, Mykola Lyzhnenko, an employee of NIBULON´s transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv.

We have dreamt about travel by such vessel for a long time. Our dream has come true today,” a master of vocational training at vocational school No. 21 who visited the event with the students.

It was a real pleasure to observe today’s performance and to participate”, shared her impressions from the holiday organized by NIBULON Valentyna Poplavska with eyes full of tears of happiness.
