NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard constructs modern complete vessels with high-tech equipment. Thus, it is not strange that our specialists have recently visited the most prestigious maritime trade fair SMM devoted to innovations in shipbuilding, machinery, and marine technology. It took place in Hamburg (Germany) at the beginning of September.
More than 2,200 companies from 70 countries became exhibitors of SMM, the exhibition space of which comprised more than 90,000 square meters. These are mainly shipbuilding companies, shipbuilders, planning companies, suppliers of marine products, equipment, and technology. Among the visitors of SMM there were executives of shipbuilding and contracting companies, engineers and technicians, scientists.
At the 27th SMM, held under the patronage of Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel, the most advanced equipment and key innovations in shipbuilding were introduced. During the event, NIBULON’s employees held working meetings with the representatives of the company’s partners, including SCHOTTEL GmbH, LIEBHERR, Nieland b.v., AB VOLVO PENTA, HEMPEL GmbH, Global Davit GmbH, DMT MARINE EQUIPMENT, DESMI Pumping Technology A/S, BOHAMET S.A. They not only introduced the achievements of the company but also discussed plans for future cooperation.
While familiarizing themselves with the technical innovations, the company’s specialists were particularly interested in equipment for multipurpose seagoing tugs of the T5000 and T3500 projects the company plans to construct by 2018.
We would remind you that NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard continues to construct the series of non-self-propelled vessels of the B2000 project, in particular the specialists are preparing to launch the third one. Moreover, the shipyard is preparing to perform keel-laying of the first tug out of 3 ones (modernized 121 project).
