Taking into account that twenty-six days left till the end of the construction, the terms of works fulfillment are becoming shorter, as nobody intends to change the date when the terminal starts its operation (June 15).
Thus, this Saturday, summarizing the conclusions of works performed during the last week and analyzing the future field of works, NIBULON’s representatives announced the most actual building terms and goals to be achieved by our partners within the next few weeks.
1. The installation of metalware of all upper galleries will have been finished by May 28, and the electric lines will have been installed on them.
2. After the metalware of the upper galleries are installed, iron workers will start installing dryers and grain storages.
We would remind you that “Mathews Company” drying complexes will be at the construction site on May 25. At the same time, “Symaga” granaries will be delivered at the construction site.
At the moment, more than 600 builders from different regions of Ukraine are involved in the construction; about 30 cranes are working here too. NIBULON will involve up to 1000 construction workers in installing drying complexes and granaries. The local inhabitants will feed and house them.
3. Absolutely all finishing works (in the laboratory and administrative building, cafeteria, operational weighing station, workshop building, and others) will have been finished by June 4.
4. In addition, the building of concrete entry roads around the foundations of granaries will have been finished by June 4; other entry roads will have been finished in six days.
5. The construction of a grain-cleaning tower, including installation of technological and transport equipment, aspiration systems, will have been finished by June 10. Then testing and commissioning works will take place.
5. By this term, NIBULON builders will have a crush-rock pad in the terminal’s territory.
6. On May 28, the contracting organizations being busy with the berth will have to report on the finishing of the half of all works. By June 10, the berthing facility must have been finished. During the terminal’s opening, it will take a new non-self-propelled vessel of the B2000 project launched in Mykolayiv on May 19.
7. The builders had an unpleasant surprise close to the berth. They found a drowned and silt-covered pontoon of 3 meters width and 25 meters length. Till the beginning of June, NIBULON workers together with their partners will fulfill its rising.
Please note that the planned schedule of the works completion is June 20, 2016. The depth of the navigable pass till the beginning of works is 1.6 m. The design depth will be 2.4 m. The ending of works will open the transport potential of the Southern Bug River, in particular, grain transportation – 1 million tons per year, building material transportation – 1 million tons per year; traffic loading on highways will be reduced from 50 thousand cargo road-trains.
