Every day and every month our company implements its investment activity, performing its own shipbuilding program. On October 16, 2015, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko keel-laid the first section of the NBL-91 project vessel. And within two and a half months, the shipbuilders quickly constructed this vessel.

We would remind you that two weeks ago the shipyard launched Nibulonivets non-self-propelled floating crane, and today it celebrates another labour victory.
The shipyard’s team couldn’t neglect this event, as this day, on New Year’s Eve, NIBULON’s General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy personally greeted the shipbuilders. He thanked workers for their patriotism and contribution to the shipbuilding sector development. He wished them success and achievements in 2016. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy promised shipbuilders that the company would take care of its employees in future, ensuring deserved working conditions, comfort, and career growth.
Today NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard is the only shipyard in Ukraine that constructs complete vessels. It is the only shipyard that works efficiently in Mykolayiv city. 9,000 persons are on a waiting list for employment. Hundreds of shipbuilders, both young specialists and experienced ones, are happy to work here. Larysa Avramenko, a godmother of the newly built vessel and a foreman of painting and insulation works, has been engaged in shipbuilding sector since 1981. She has been working at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard for two years. The woman notes that she likes her job very much, “It is very pleasant to participate in such an event. We constructed, painted and now are launching this wonderful vessel”.
The main peculiarity of the NBL-91 project vessel is navigation on shallow rivers. To construct these vessels was an important stage in the implementation of NIBULON’s investment program to construct new logistics system in Ukraine, and namely to revive navigation along the Southern Bug.
Thus, visiting NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard on October 16, 2015, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko shipped the NBL-91 project vessel in its first cargo trip, giving a start to navigation revival along the Southern Bug. The company plans to revive navigation and passenger transportation along this river. At present NIBULON has started the first stage of works – dredging separate areas of the river up to the design depths existed in 1991. NIBULON started dredging from Sapetnya village (Mykolayiv district) towards Gurivka village (Nova Odesa district). The depth of navigation pass was increased from 1.7 m to 2.4 m. Weather conditions allowed our company to work till the New Year. At present the navigation pass has been lengthened by more than 23 km.
NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard has developed and successfully implements a production program with one hundred percent workload for the next five years. The next series of non-self-propelled vessels (B 2000 project) of up to 2 thousand tons is intended for operation along the Southern Bug.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy considers the development of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard to be one of the main strategic tasks. NIBULON’s management proposes new ideas and sets shipbuilders new tasks. NIBULON wants the shipyard to become high-tech and leading not only in Ukraine but also abroad.
Today NIBULON is a model company in the grain sector; it will be model in the shipbuilding sector worldwide. We need time. The shipyard has now a task to increase metal working by 50% in 2016, bringing it up to 5 thousand tons per year. Please note that NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard has been working only for two years.
We are proud that our shipyard becomes better every day, reaching new achievements.
