This time, the open door season at the end of October was closed by the children whose parents work at NIBULON’s transshipment terminal.
The excursion guided by Sergiy Filenko, the deputy director of administrative and service issues at NIBULON’s transshipment terminal, was started from the transport registration point, where the children observed grain reception and also sampling to measure product quality.
Sergiy Filenko told the guests about NIBULON’s activities, its structure, and the company’s investment project including the construction of NIBULON’s own fleet, new transshipment terminals, and the revival of the Dnipro and the Southern Bug as navigable waterways of the country.
The children visited the terminal’s up-to-date production and technological laboratory with modern equipment from the leading suppliers. They were really impressed by the huge domes (grain storages) and the terminal’s design.
A 10-year-old boy, Artem, said, “I have learnt a lot during this excursion. Particularly, I like the terminal’s beautiful and green territory. I saw NIBULON load foreign vessels on the berth”.
Oleksandr, a 12-year-old boy, told, “I have visited NIBULON for the second time. Nevertheless, this excursion was interested. I want to thank our guide. He has told us a lot of interesting things. I am impressed by the modern laboratory, grain transportation process, and a high level of operation planning.
A 6-year-old boy, Vlad, said, “It is a fantastic place! I like large vessels, many trucks and huge domes very much. I have never seen such a place before”.
A 13-year-old girl, Alla, said, “I did not even think that the terminal occupies such a large territory. I have seen many high grain storages and also learnt that the domes at NIBULON’s transshipment terminal are the largest ones in Europe”.
During the excursion, the guests shared their impressions and took pictures. According to the children, NIBULON’s export transshipment terminal is the facility of the future. Many of them dream of working for NIBULON upon graduation. These excursions are the best stimulus to achieve this aim.
