The company transported and shipped for export about 1.5 million tons of agricultural commodities in the 2014/15 marketing year. Please note that in the 2013/14 marketing year the company’s fleet transported 1.126 million tons. In the 2015 navigation season (as of July 15), NIBULON made 77 cargo trips along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug, having processed 683 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds, thereby exceeding the results of the first half of 2014 twice as many. These record indices are achieved due to well-coordinated and efficient work of the company’s specialists as well as due to fast growth of NIBULON’s own cargo fleet.
NIBULON plans further extension of transportation volumes. The management is sure that Ukraine has a great potential to reorient its own logistics infrastructure to water transportation that is more efficient. The company aims to bring its transportation volumes and export shipments up to 3 million tons in the 2015/16 marketing year, and within the next three years – up to 5 million tons (along the Dnipro, the Southern Bug, the Desna and other rivers of Ukraine).
“On August 01, the company will start dredging along the Southern Bug so that in August our new non-self-propelled vessels and the tug may transport grain to Mykolayiv city not by highways but along the Southern Bug”, mentioned NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy at the meeting with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko.
St. Mykolai self-propelled floating crane that operates in the outer roads of Mykolayiv Sea Trade Port had a victorious last marketing year as well. The unique floating crane constructed at Santierul Naval Constanta shipyard (Romania) is the most productive transshipment crane in Ukraine. The crane closed the 2014/15 marketing year with a figure of 1.175 million tons of agricultural commodities transshipped for export and crossed the two-million-ton mark of grain and oilseeds loaded.
Since the beginning of July, St. Mykolai has given a good start to a new marketing year, having transshipped more than 60 thousand tons of agricultural commodities.
