As usual, during the meeting they developed and approved a sowing strategy in the current soil and climatic conditions and also decided to continue improving the structure of sown areas.
As part of the meeting, they negotiated with Andriy Vorobyov, a director at Great Plains Ukraine. His visit was preceded by a meeting between Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and the President of Great Plains International Daniel Rauchholz during the Ukrainian-American Agrarian Congress held on March 24-25, 2015, in the USA.
In his letter to NIBULON’s General Director, Mr Rauchholz noted that it was pleasant for him to be a part of an audience and to listen to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy’s presentation.
“I am always intrigued by the companies that have a vertically integrated structure and conduct business that, at first sight, has little in common with the other. I am impressed by your achievements in Ukraine”, he mentioned.
Speaking with NIBULON’s management, Andriy Vorobyov represented an innovative technology to grow row crops (in particular, corn) and modern machinery adapted for this technology.
It should be noted that today the gross yield of corn in Ukraine is low – 6-7 tons per hectare. At the same time an average gross yield of corn abroad comprises 12-14 tons per hectare. This was achieved, in particular, due to the use of agricultural technologies introduced by the director of Great Plains Ukraine.
This technology provides for more rational use of land and sun resources, by using a plant layout that is qualitatively different from those one in Ukraine, and also vertical tillage.
NIBULON’s specialists were interested in such an innovative agronomic approach enabling to increase crop capacity by at least 10%.
The meeting results were fruitful. As part of the implementation of an innovative agricultural technology, the parties agreed to create test production areas in all soil and climatic areas of Ukraine where NIBULON operates. In addition, Great Plains Ukraine will provide samples of tillage machinery and seeding machines used in this tillage system.
This tillage system will enable NIBULON’s specialists to check the efficiency of innovative agricultural technologies at NIBULON’s own production areas and make NIBULON a pioneer in implementing best practice in Ukraine.
