Ports of Ukraine magazine and BlackSeaTrans information and analytical center traditionally organized the event. 77 experts chose the winners in the maritime sector. The main achievement in 2014 was a stable operation of ports despite a current difficult situation. The experts chose in total 49 prize-winners under 20 categories, including companies that managed to demonstrate a high volume of transshipment and cargo turnover, develop water logistics, construct new berths and to revive shipbuilding.
NIBULON, an agrarian company being one of the leaders in the maritime sector for several consecutive years, is among the winners.
This year NIBULON has become a prize-winner under the categories “Gold Berth 2014” and “Fleet Renovation 2014”. Andriy Volik, NIBULON’s deputy director of fleet construction and operation and navigation safety, personally received the honorary award.
According to the rating experts, 2014 became a significant year for many companies of the sector. NIBULON, despite obstacles, continued to revive domestic shipbuilding and river navigation. At the end of 2014 the company finished construction of the cargo berth of the transshipment terminal in Zaporizhzhya region (Bilenke village). The berth with a length of 105 m and a breadth of 18 m is able to load NIBULON’s non-self-propelled vessel (90 m length) accompanied by the POSS-115 project tug.
At present NIBULON is constructing non-self-propelled vessels of the NBL-91 project at its own shipbuilding and repair yard located in Mykolayiv city. In July 2015, these vessels will join the company’s fleet family. And in April the shipping company will receive the 121 project tugs which official keel-laying was held with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at NIBULON’s shipyard.
