Last week the shipbuilders mounted hull systems and welding outfitting on NIBULON’s three tugs.
At present cleaning and priming of pipes, superstructures and freeboard are being finished on 10003 and 10004 manufacturing orders. In addition, the shipbuilders are finishing preparatory operations to install main engines (10003 manufacturing order). When the containers with engines are installed, the shipbuilders will assemble the unit No.11 – stern superstructure.
10005 manufacturing order is being prepared for cleaning and painting. The shipbuilders are straightening decks and superstructure bulkheads.
The specialists of mechanical and assembly area have started to produce a device to lift the pilot house. Fitter items and foundations for electrical equipment in the pilot houses will be installed soon.
The specialists are producing pipes of fuel, gas exhaust, water and fire systems.
The signal masts are being produced for three vessels.
The pace of NBL-91 vessel construction is being increased; the specialists are producing flat plates for outer plating, for inner sides and inner bottom of the parallel middle body. These non-self-propelled vessels will operate with the 121 project tugs on shallow waterways, as these very vessels are characterized by a small draught. The draught of NBL-91 project vessels is 2.7 m, and the draught of 121 project tug comprises 1.5 m.
