At the same time NIBULON is constructing new tugs of the 121 project. Due to these new fleet units, NIBULON will continue to implement an efficient strategy to develop cargo fleet in Ukraine.
The NBL-91 project barge, like its NBL-90 forerunner, is a real “elevator on water” with a displacement of 3,750 tons. But the new vessel is more perfect than the previous model, as it has a lightweight hatch cover and a smaller draught (2.7 m against 3.56 m). These very vessels will transport grains along shallow rivers, in particular along the Southern BugRiver.
Thus, at present the pace of construction of three non-self-propelled vessels is being increased. Pallada state plant (Kherson) has been supplied 91 % of the required metal-roll to be cut. 75 % of plates have been cleaned and primed out of the total volume planned. The parts are cut and produced round-the-clock.
About 60 tons of completed parts were supplied to the company’s shipyard, and 50 tons will be delivered within the next few days.
In addition, NIBULON’s shipbuilders continue to produce flat plates for outer plating, for inner sides and inner bottom of the parallel middle body. They have already produced 45 plates out of 216 ones required.
The company’s specialists continue to purchase the required marine equipment for the non-self-propelled vessels, in particular anchors, chains and deck equipment.
The company itself constructs non-self-propelled vessels at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. The construction process is performed according to the following stages: metal cut – subassembly and fabrication – hull formation – primary painting – deck equipment assembly – electrical equipment assembly – final painting – putting into operation.
