We would remind you that the vessels designed by “Sudokompozit” design office are aimed at navigating on inland waterways of Ukraine, mainly on the Southern BugRiver.
According to Kostyantyn Karpukhin, senior foreman of the assembly and welding area of the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON”, strength hull formation will be finished soon. Painting works will be started after hull tightness is inspected and welded outfitting is installed.
Besides, the first pipes of drainage and ballast systems have already been produced and prepared for zincking. The fender bar and roll damping devices are being installed on the three tugs.

The first vessel of the project (manufacturing order 10003):
The vessel’s aft edge (unit No.1) was produced and installed into the strength hull; welding works are being continued there. The shaft for lifting navigation room was mounted into the unit No.13; the unit itself is being prepared for installation on the vessel. The unit No.14 will be assembled soon. The shipbuilders assembled diesel-generators and oily water tanks in the engine room. There was laid the next unit No.12 – superstructure midship consisting of a living unit; assembly works are being carried out there now.
The second vessel of the project (manufacturing order 10004):
There have been completed assembly and welding works to manufacture unit No.1 to be installed into the vessel’s hull; assembly of the units No.14 and 22 (pilot house) is at the final stage; production of assemblies of the unit No.12 has been started. Besides, installation of foundations of diesel-generators (they are ready for the installation on the tug) and oily water tank will be finished soon.
The third vessel of the project (manufacturing order 10005):
The unit No.1 (aft edge) has been produced and mounted into the vessel. Besides, diesel-generators have been placed in the engine room; they are being mounted. Production of assemblies of the unit No.12 has been started.
Glossary.
Fender bar – a long fore-and-aft fender of wood hung over a ship’s side just above the water-line amidships to prevent chafing against a dock.
Roll damping device – a device (in the form of tanks on opposite sides, plates along the sides and others) to decrease rolling, to improve people presence aboard and gears operation, to increase a ship’s maneuverability and controllability.
