This year’s conference has traditionally gathered key players of agribusiness from all over the world as well as NIBULON, the leader of Ukraine’s agro-export market.
Geneva conference is a key event for international grain market participants. Organized by professionals of the sector, the conference is an excellent opportunity to share experience and thoughts of international experts about topical problems of grain industry.
This year, at the conference, within business program, the audience was presented reports and presentations by the leading world experts where the reporters described current condition and prospects of the world grain market development, summarized 2013/14 season, planned tendencies of situation development in new season, and also observed scenarios of production development and consumption of grain in the world.
NIBULON’s delegation actively participated in the conference, having held a number of successful negotiations and business meetings. According to manager of grain crop wholesale trade Mykola Ilin, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and the company’s specialists managed to have more than 30 negotiations with:
– representatives of multinational companies, in particular, IDM, Bunge, Cargill, Glencore;
– actual and potential buyers of NIBULON’s agricultural commodities, having outlined plans as to trading relations development (Al Ghurair Resources, AOS Trading DMCC, CAM Negoce, Midstar (Singapore) PTE LTD, Seaboard, Sovena, Vitol, and others);
– international brokers, having discussed current situation on the world grain market and demand for agricultural products (Agribrokers International, the Netherlands; Lynx Commodities, Lebanon; Pasternak, Baum & Co., Inc., the USA; Star Fuels, Switzerland; Vicorus, Switzerland, and others).
NIBULON has a good twenty-two year credit history, enjoys confidence of banks, foreign financial institutions and partners. Cooperation was continued during conference, within meetings with management and leading specialists of first-class European banks being the creditors of NIBULON, namely ING, Rabobank, Credit Europe Bank, Natixis, ABN AMRO, EBRD, BNP Paribas, SG, BCP, Arab bank.
Dmytro Furda, head of the contract execution department, stresses that during the conference NIBULON’s team had time to hold a number of meetings with representatives of other players of agribusiness and joint sectors, namely:
– shipowners and companies being engaged in cargo carriage (in particular, Aquavita International) concerning situation on the world freight market and prospects of cargo carriage development along the Black Sea;
– grain holdings in the issue of common sale of agricultural commodities.
According to the results of “Global Grain Geneva 2014” conference that was held in friendly atmosphere, NIBULON’s team headed by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy managed to considerably improve relations with world players of agribusiness, expand the circle of business acquaintance, thus, contributing to further cooperation and new contracts. In particular, in the near future the first meetings with business partners will be held in Mykolayiv city as well as abroad.
