At present finishing and painting works are being completed; then the vessel will receive the appropriate class of the Shipping Register of Ukraine and will be put into operation.
Thus, the last preparations before the vessel’s commissioning will be completed soon, namely the pilot house has been tested for lift, lowering and hinging of mast; in the living and household sector there have been installed furniture and bathroom equipment; in the galley – kitchen equipment. Soon there will be adjusted air conditioning system, system of navigation and electric equipment, radio communication system.
Within the next few days at the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON” there will be held putting into operation of NIBULON-5 tug, launching of NIBULON-6 tug for outfitting (both tugs are of POSS-115 project), keel-laying of two tugs of 121 project. The latter has the class of the Shipping Register of Ukraine: KM * Ice2 В-R4-RSN3,0 AUT3 NAV-1 Tug. The length of each vessel will comprise 24.6 m; breadth – 8.4 m; draught – 1.5 m.
Peculiarity of the tugs of 121 project is location on the engine room on the vessel’s upper deck. In particular, main engines with accompanying service systems and shaftings that transmit torque moment to rudder propellers will be placed on the upper deck in the isolated containers. Such a decision was made in connection with the vessel’s small draught. This innovation will allow to considerably reduce period of construction.
