At the end of October NIBULON was visited by the managers of Asian companies and holdings, importers of Ukrainian agricultural commodities: Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL, Dynamic Transport Сo., Ltd, CNC International Co., Ltd, Enterprise & Wholesale True Corporation, C.P. Rice, Chia Tai Animal Husbandry Investment (Beijing) Co., Ltd, Bangkok Produce Merchandising, PCL.
According to the representatives of Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Company, they were impressed by the previous meeting in June 2013 and familiarization with the company’s infrastructure.
The goal of the current visit was to discuss mechanism to set the market price for Ukrainian corn of this year’s harvest and to continue corn export by NIBULON to Asia region, and also further familiarization with the company’s logistics.
Corn is a strategic crop for NIBULON. Thus, in 2012/13 MY the share of corn in the company’s total export comprised 61 %. NIBULON enters the top three exporters of corn. In 2012/13 MY the share of NIBULON’s export comprised 15 % that ensured the first place in the rating of Ukraine’s corn exporters for two years running.
During the meeting the guests visited the export grain terminal in Mykolayiv city having received evidence that NIBULON ensured quality of export products and RE “Lidiyivs’ke” branch where they observed corn fields.
The guests proposed concrete terms and volumes of Ukraine’s corn procurement to Asia; at present they are being analyzed by NIBULON’s specialists.
