The delegation included Ivan Vučić, a country prefect, and his deputy, President of Croatian Chamber of Commerce Zlatko Kuzman, President of Croatian Chamber of Small Business Darko Stanković, representatives of Croatian business circles and Mykolayiv Regional State Administration.
For information. Županija is an administrative territorial unit of Croatia headed by a župan (a country prefect). At present Croatia includes 21 countries (županije) including the capital city of Zagreb which has the status of both a county and a city.
According to Ivan Vučić, it is a great honor for Karlovac Country to cooperate with such a powerful industrial center like Mykolayiv region where the world companies are located. This visit became a stimulus to establish good economic relations not only with Mykolayiv region and Karlovac Country, but also to contribute to the development of relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Croatia.
A visit to NIBULON was of an introductory character; the guests familiarized themselves with the terminal’s activities and its production facilities, visited the new laboratory and administrative building.
While being at the transshipment terminal, Ivan Vučić noted that such business contacts were necessary for both parties having stressed that Ukraine and Croatia were Slavic people whose mentality and legislation are similar.
According to Volodymyr Kubinskyy, a representative of Croatian part, the guests were interested to know about grain crops and quality of grain exported by NIBULON to the countries of the world, about technological and laboratory level of NIBULON’s branches. He stressed that Karlovac Country, one of the largest center of brewing in Croatia, was interested in searching for new exporters of barley.
