On August 23, 2013, under the chairmanship of NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, his deputies, heads of the company’s departments and directors of production branches there was held a production meeting where the harvesting campaign of early grain crops was summed up and future plans were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting Deputy General Director of Agricultural Production Kostyantyn Khmelnytskyy informed about the results of harvesting of early grain crops.
Last autumn to gather the harvest of 2013, there were sowed about 4,000 ha of winter barley and 1,500 ha of winter rape.
Due to professional actions of the employees, the company managed to prevent winter crop loss; thus, the total volume of crops was harvested.
Taking into consideration tasks set before production branches (to obtain maximum financial result with minimal expenses), there was developed an appropriate efficient technology of crop growing.
Weather and climatic conditions of the first half of 2013 was favourable to reap crops not in all regions of winter crop cultivation. There should be emphasized autumn drought and cold weather in the Central and Western regions and anomalous temperatures at the end of spring that led to reduction of early grain crop harvest. But despite this, NIBULON’s branches demonstrated high results.
The harvesting campaign was started on June 12. Early beginning was caused by early ripening of crops. 53 units of harvesting machinery were used. The average load per unit comprised about 580 ha. Reduction of combines in the south, efficient movement of harvesting machinery from east to north allowed to carry out harvesting in time.
As a result, above 120,000 tons of grain were taken by linear elevators and transshipment terminals from farmers of the company. The given figure is by 25% more than the last year’s one and is a record croppage.
High quality of wheat yield should be noted– wheat of low classes comprises about 2.9 thousand tons out of the total croppage.
The directors of the branches who became leaders in this harvesting campaign were congratulated by NIBULON’s General Director. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy acknowledged the best teams, thanked directors of the branches and wished them successes.
According to the rating, in the southern steppe zone RE “Lidiyivs’ke” branch took first place, “Vradiyivs’ka” branch – second one, “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch – third one. In the eastern steppe zone “Troyits’ka” branch took first place, “Svativs’ka” branch – second one, “Starobils’ka” branch – third one. In the central forest-steppe area “Chygyryn” branch won first place, “Suhorabivs’ka” branch – second one, and “Pryseymivs’ka” branch– third one. As to the northern forest-steppe area, “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” branch won first place, “Mriya” branch – second place, “Khmil’nyk” branch – third place.
The highest crop yield of winter wheat and winter barley was demonstrated by RE “Lidiyivs’ke” branch – 54.2 dt/ha and 38 dt/ha respectively.
The highest harvest of early grain crops among NIBULON’s production branches was achieved by “Chygyryn” and RE “Lidiyivs’ke” branches – above 11.3 thousand tons.
Having summarized the harvesting campaign, the participants started to discuss future plans. At present NIBULON’s specialists are preparing for autumn sowing campaign. The production department purchases seeds. In the current season it is planned to purchase elite seeds at the rate of above 320 tons. Rape is being purchased to sow above 2000 ha. Besides, 5,800 tons of mineral fertilizers have already been purchased (to the amount of almost UAH 17 mln).
Besides, machinery and transport park will be renewed. In particular there were purchased new sowing machines to the amount of UAH 1.8 mln.
