“Bystryts’ka” Branch is a Synonym of Confidence

On the Prydniprovs’ka height, Zhytomyr region, above the Rostavytsya River there is situated a small ancient village, Bystryk village, found in 1605. Its territory is a wavy plain cut by deep ravines and river valleys.   The inhabitants inherited a collective farm “Ukraine” from Soviet times. The collective farm was successful earlier and neglected in time. In 2008 NIBULON purchased it and since then the history of “Bystryts’ka” branch has begun.   “When the company purchased assets, the collective farm actually did not exist. There were ruins, the fields were neglected, machinery was damaged or stolen. The bureaucratic apparatus delayed reorganization for years, caused legal proceedings that were stopped by the superior court. Huge efforts of the company’s staff and management preceded it”, tells Ivan Soroka, the branch director, “Today we are first-class employees who are characterized by professionalism, sensitivity, talent to be in lead, to set the pace and to keep it”.   …Ruins are in the past. 5 years passed since NIBULON’s had arrived to Bystryk village, today the branch is a unit the company is proud of.   “we are one of the leaders in the whole Ruzhynka district by the production indices, we enter the top three best companies. The team and employees were awarded with diploma of the district administration. We also win NIBULON’s contests and enter the top three leaders in cultivating some crops. Our strength is corn that produces a high yield regularly. Last year we received the highest yield of wheat (55.3 dt/ha) among the branches”, mentions Sergiy Yanchuk, an agronomist.   By the way, he is held up as an example by his senior colleague Mykola Odnokoz, a chief agronomist, a graduate from Mykolayiv National Agrarian University. “I can say that I have a lot to learn from him. There is nothing unusual in it. When a person is an expert, age does not matter. The main thing is to share the experience continuously. Sergiy has solid knowledge, knows much about cultivation of different crops, and is not afraid of being an innovator. In a word, he is new blood!”   Sergiy Yanchuk adds, “Agronomics is a hard and extremely important work, but it is excellent at the same time. We realize that we develop the branch by our work and we are proud of it. And this year we have set a goal to enter the top three leaders by the company!”   During the branch existence NIBULON’s staff realized that other branches should follow NIBULON’s young branch example.   NIBULON always considers the issue of animal breeding development in Zhytomyr region to be topical, as Polesye is characterized by favourable conditions for the sector development. Successful “Chudnivs’ka” and “Romanivs’ka” branches are a bright example of it.   In due time the company started to revive Bystryk livestock complex ruined by the former owners.   “At present the livestock complex on the basis of the branch is the largest one in the whole Zhytomyr region. Our farm numbers 4.5 thousand pigs and 1.1 thousand heads of Red-and-White Ukrainian diary-breed cattle! Due to such scope of work we hire villagers where the land is leased. To manage this complex is great responsibility. We must work persistently ensuring product compliance with the European quality standards. In the near future we plan to reconstruct the complex, to perform reequipment as it is necessary to provide further growth of livestock population”, stresses Ivan Labunskyy, a chief zootechnician.   He adds that purchase of modern ultrasonic milk analyzers and other modern equipment became a positive moment for the animal breeding development. “To work with such equipment means pleasure, you feel yourself like a real European expert. Equipment allows to perform more efficient control of milk quality. Not every company can boast of such technique and, unfortunately, this level remains inaccessible for some farms in the region”.   Several years ago the company renewed a sausage production line. On the basis of the branch there was created its own meat-processing workshop and “Bystryts’ki kovbasy” trade mark”!   “In less that a year we renewed the line, carried our repair and reequipment. In autumn 2009 we received the first products! I proudly can say that our products are natural which are produced according to the traditional formulation in compliance with the state standards of Ukraine. We use our own raw material, choose natural spicery thoroughly, do not add soya or artificial aromatizers. “Bystryts’ki kovbasy” trade mark has become a visit card in the region, NIBULON’s employees like sausage products. I think not only our staff but also most workers of the company in 12 regions of Ukraine are used to eating NIBULON-made sausages as people get used to quality products quickly”, tells Mykola Chernyschuk, a head of the meat-processing workshop.   According to Yuriy Stratyuk, the branch staff does not limit themselves to gastronomic taste. “Our large team numbers 200 employees and has a lot of traditions. We celebrate the Harvest Festival, the Agricultural Worker’s Day, the Driver’s Day or the Day of Personnel Officer. Nobody remains without congratulations or diploma. We are a unitary whole, a family, we adopt knowledge and views from one another. I am an engineer but while being friends with agronomists I have learnt to determine the appropriate time and place to plant crops: the best time to sow corn is a period of cornel blossom, the grey soil does not stick to the feet – it is time to start spring field works”.   NIBULON’s branch is appreciated by the district. “The branch regularly allocates funds for village improvement, assists houses of culture and medical institutions; new workplaces are created. The kindergarten “Yalynka” is provided with repair, catering, organization of holidays. The district Svyato-Pokrovskyy and Svyato-Mykhailyvs’kyy cathedrals receive funds to carry out religious holidays. In Bystryk village a word “NIBULON” became a synonym of stability and confidence. Besides, the branch regularly helps Vilnopils’ka, Rostavytsya, Verbivka, Bereznyanka village councils of Ruzhynka district: there are allocated funds for children’s catering, improvement of villages, repair of schools and houses of culture, purchase of furniture.”   *** Today “Bystryts’ka” branch celebrates its first anniversary – 5 years since its foundation. NIBULON’s staff and General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy congratulate the colleagues and wish them inspiration and professional achievements!
