NIBULON participated in the International Ecological Forum “The environment 2013” that was held in Kyiv city on April 22-25 with the assistance of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. This event was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the 5th All-European Ministerial Conference “Environment for Europe” (Kyiv city). The aim of the Forum was integration of the “green economy” strategy in social and political, economic and cultural life of Ukraine in order to ensure balanced development of the country, cooperation of the authorities, local self-government, public organizations while solving environmental problems, implementation of “pure” energy efficient technologies in all sectors of economy, ecologically balanced system of nature management and preservation of ecosystems, ensuring of environmental safety, and also international cooperation and development of recommendations for the complex environment protection. Within the Forum there were held conferences, round tables, seminars, and a thematic exhibition. In the Forum there participated Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Oleg Proskuryakov, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova, First Deputy Head of the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on ecology issues Oleg Lukashuk, Adviser to Ukraine’s Prime Minister Anatoliy Tolstouhov. The Forum attracted foreign diplomats – embassy representatives of 30 countries including the USA, Japan, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Azerbaijan, and others. The exhibition included above 100 ecologically-oriented domestic and foreign companies, scientific institutions, the local authorities, public “green” organizations, and a lot of visitors. Maksym Kovshov, an environmental protection engineer, presented NIBULON at the exhibition. At present NIBULON is a successful example of ecologically responsible business in Ukraine. The company allocates considerable financial resources for implementation of actions to limit the effect of NIBULON’s production processes on the environment. In 2012 NIBULON initiated fish stocking of the Kakhovka Reservoir and the Dnipro River near Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, and there was created a park in Shostakove village (Mykolayiv region). Today NIBULON looks after this park. On April 19-20, 2013 in Kozats’ke town (Kherson region) NIBULON initiated planting of 840 seedlings of acacia, oak, birch, bird cherry, catalpa, juniper, arborvitae, pine, mulberry, chestnut, and others. The young trees became the basis of a young park in Kozats’ke town; they were also planted in the memorial park and in the territory of kindergarten and school. NIBULON’s attention to ecological issues during implementation of its investment activities was confirmed by a win in the 9th All-Ukrainian contest “Ecological quality and safety” in the nomination “Systematic approach to controlling and implementing ecologically clean technologies of production” (November 2012).
