Leader of Ukraine’s agrarian market, agricultural company “NIBULON” and its General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy make a significant contribution to the revival of native agrarian science, including development of storage technologies, grain processing and transportation within the large-scale nation-wide patriotic project to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Bug rivers as transport waterways of Ukraine. Bogdan Yegorov, the rector of Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies, informed about it during a solemn meeting of ONAFT academic council, on Tuesday. For considerable personal contribution to the academy’s development, including training of highly qualified specialists in the grain processing industry, Bogdan Yegorov presented a Diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa to one of the best and most successful ONAFT graduates Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. The academic council voted for such a decision unanimously. To the applause of the academic council, Hero of Ukraine was dressed in a black professor robe and a bonnet. By a tradition, the newly-made Doctor Honoris Causa autographed the book of the academy’s honorable guests. According to the Rector Bogdan Yegorov, such successful graduates like Oleksiy Vadaturskyy carry an important mission, because they confirm the high level of knowledge and practical skills the students obtain at the initial stage of their perspective career. “Such graduates demonstrate high level of work of our enterprises and our branches proving to the whole world that Ukraine is not just an agricultural and industrial country but it can be an innovative one in many directions. And that was proved by our graduate Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. As “NIBULON” is famous not only for its work on growth, processing and storage of grain but also for its innovative approaches to organizing technological processes and controlling them”, noted B.Yegorov. He also added that “NIBULON” was the only company in Ukraine that revives the domestic river fleet. “The company creates an image of Ukraine as a maritime power, state where there is water transport, one of the most profitable. And “NIBULON” can take the leading place in logistics of grain products, grain and provision,” said Rector. He informed that O. Vadaturskyy, being one of the most successful graduates of the academy, participates in the development of grain processing segment of the agricultural sector actively. “Firstly, he showed how successful grain processing business can be. Secondly, he showed the way students (undergoing practical training) should be treated. As at present our academy does not have any problems with carrying out practical training and employment of our graduates. O.Vadaturskyy accepts them every year and is ready to accept even more people. But the most important thing is that our students are ready to come to work for “NIBULON” themselves. “NIBULON’s” branches are located all across Ukraine. And we are happy that “NIBULON” proposes job to our students. Thirdly, O.Vadaturskyy takes part in the development of material and technical basis of our academy financing an establishment of four modern laboratories. And soon we will open these laboratories which will contribute to the improvement of training quality of our specialists”, added B.Yegorov. In his turn, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy thanked all the staff and academic council for doing him such an  honour. He noted that such an award testifies about recognition of the importance of his activity for our society. “I received recognition at different levels, I was rewarded with the highest award of our Motherland – the title of Hero of Ukraine, I got the highest award in the agricultural sector, won different business-ratings repeatedly. But today it is a great honour for me to win the highest award of my native Academy of Food Technologies, to receive recognition from the academic council. It is an award of ONAFT which gave me a start in life. And it is ONAFT gratitude for that work “NIBULON’s” staff does for Ukraine”, O. Vadatrurskyy thanked the academy’s staff. “Such an award is a gratitude to our staff for rising Ukraine’s image, Ukraine’s image on ensuring food security in the world”, added he. Speaking to ONAFT students and teachers, Hero of Ukraine, General Director of “NIBULON” recollected his way from graduate and engineer to general director of the largest agrarian company in Ukraine, national investor that has invested in Ukraine’s economy more that UAH 9 bln during Ukraine’s Independence. He noted the importance of agrarian science and its cooperation with business even despite bureaucratic obstacles that prevent from business development, let alone its social components. He added that 82 graduates of ONAFT work for “NIBULON”. Besides, thousands of graduates and postgraduates undergo training in the best laboratories of the company. In whole, “NIBULON” stakes on science and young generation as only they can place agriculture among industry giants – metallurgy, chemical production and even oil-and-gas complex. According to “NIBULON’s” General Director, to be engaged in the development of food technologies, production technologies, food stuff processing and grain processing technology was considered to be not prestigious earlier. “It is pleasant for me that the academy revives old traditions. And ONAFT will be based on the leading lines on promotion of grain storage technologies. Today Ukraine requires more than 50% of elevator facilities.  Ukraine sets itself the aims to produce 80 mln tons of grain. At present there are less than 30 mln tons of the certified elevator capacities which are far from being modern. Under such conditions Ukraine cannot cope with the tasks on food increase and its preservation”, mentioned O.Vadaturskyy. He also informed that “NIBULON” is ready to assist in development of scientific researches in the institutes of higher education in order to improve product quality and implement effective world innovations in the agricultural sector. For that purpose the company will provide its production sites and give talented people an opportunity to fulfill themselves within the patriotic nation-wide project to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Bug rivers as transport waterways of Ukraine. According to O.Vadaturskyy, due to constant expansion of production facilities the company always requires new personnel. “We reach goals consecutively. And despite bureaucratic obstacles we do it in order to complete our program that has a national value, namely the revival of the Dnipro, the Southern Bug and other rivers of Ukraine as transport waterways. Today we are close to starting dredging works in the Dnipro river navigation path. On completion of these works, navigation will be revived from Belarus to the Black Sea”, emphasized O.Vadaturskyy.
